Check Out The New Hybrid Vehicle Tech With Lower Fuel Consumption By Chinas Byd

Check out the new hybrid vehicle tech with lower fuel consumption by China's BYD

BYD, a Chinese company, unveiled its most recent plug-in hybrid technology, which uses 2.9 liters of fuel every 100 kilometers (62.1 miles) when the batteries are fully charged. Following the 2003 acquisition of Qinchuan Automobile Co., BYD established its first automaking factory in Xian, the capital of Shaanxi province, where Chairman Wang Chuanfu of BYD presented this innovative technology.

A completely charged battery and a full gasoline tank guarantee a driving range of more than 2,000 kilometers with the new plug-in hybrid powertrain. This is a major advancement over BYD's prior plug-in hybrid technology generation, which provided a driving range of several dozen kilometers when running only on battery power and a fuel consumption rate of 3.8 liters per 100 kilometers while running on gasoline. With models like the Song Plus DM-i SUV and the Qin Plus DM-i sedan, in particular, this older technology has played a significant role in BYD's explosive expansion since 2021.

Over the last three years, BYD has sold 3.6 million plug-in hybrids, with prices starting at 79,800 yuan ($11,011). These vehicles have accounted for the majority of the company's sales. BYD's market position is anticipated to be further strengthened by this new technological development, which will provide even higher fuel efficiency and longer driving ranges.
