Cars launched by various brands in February 2025

Despite having less action, February nevertheless saw several releases to keep things interesting. A few SUVs received model-year modifications, and there were also special editions with minor visual changes.

February included several releases to keep things interesting even if there was less activity. Model-year tweaks were made to a few SUVs, and special editions with slight aesthetic adjustments were also made.

A detailed look at every vehicle that came to India in February 2025 is provided below.

  1. Kia Syros

Kia revealed the Syros's starting price of Rs 9 lakh (ex-showroom) at the start of February. Its distinctive boxy shape and well-equipped interior make it stand out in its class. Powertrain options for the Syros include a 1.5-liter diesel engine with 116 PS or a 1-liter turbo-petrol engine with 120 PS.

Dual 12.3-inch screens, a panoramic sunroof, a 12.3-inch digital driver's display, a 5-inch auto air conditioning screen, an 8-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, front and rear passenger seat ventilation, and a wireless phone charger are some of the main features. Six airbags, level-2 ADAS, electronic stability control, and a 360-degree video system are among the safety features.

  1. 2025 Renault Triber and Kiger

Renault upgraded its entry-level Kiger SUV and Triber MPV models by adding new amenities. New features that are exclusive to the top-spec models, like a smart access card and remote engine start, are also included in the Kiger. Meanwhile, the lowest models of the Triber and Kiger now include amenities like all four power windows, central locking, steering-mounted controls, and an 8-inch infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto.

Their engine options are now E20 fuel compatible, but there are no modifications to the drivetrain or design. The 2025 Kiger's ex-showroom prices range from Rs 6.10 lakh to Rs 10.10 lakh. The 2025 Triber's price ranges from Rs 6.10 lakh to Rs 8.75 lakh (ex-showroom).

  1. MG Comet EV Blackstorm

With pricing beginning at Rs 7.80 lakh (ex-showroom), MG added the Comet EV to its roster of Blackstorm vehicles. Red highlights on the alloy wheels, front bumper, and 'Morris Garages' badging highlight the Comet Blackstorm's exterior, which is a Starry Black color. 'Blackstorm' badging is applied to the seat headrests, and the interior is styled in black and white with red accents.

With its battery-as-a-service platform, MG now also sells the Comet EV. Customers may subscribe to the battery for Rs 2.5 per kilometer. The Comet EV costs between Rs 5 lakh and Rs 7.80 lakh (ex-showroom) if you choose the subscription option, while the total cost of the car upfront is between Rs 7 lakh and Rs 9.84 lakh (ex-showroom).

  1. Honda City Apex Edition

Honda unveiled the Apex Edition of the City, a high-end sedan with external and interior aesthetic upgrades, in early February. The Apex Edition costs Rs 25,000 more than its regular counterparts and is only offered with the V and VX models.

While the inside has "Apex Edition" embossing on the seat headrests and Apex Edition-branded cushions, the outside has been updated with an "Apex Edition" emblem on the front fender and tailgate. The 8-inch touchscreen and the single-pane sunroof are among the few other items that have not been altered.

  1. 2025 Kia Seltos

Kia introduced the updated 2025 Seltos with three new variants: HTE (O), HTK (O), and HTK+ (O). These variants offer a few premium features at a more accessible price, including a 4.2-inch color TFT display with analogue dials, an 8-inch infotainment system, and a 6-speaker sound system.

Engine options include a 115 PS 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine and a 116 PS 1.5-litre diesel engine, while the more powerful 160 PS 1.5-litre turbo-petrol remains exclusive to higher-end variants. Prices for the 2025 Kia Seltos range from Rs 11.13 lakh to Rs 20.51 lakh (ex-showroom).

  1. 2025 MG Astor

MG updated the Astor by giving its base Shine and Select models a few convenience features. To improve comfort and safety, both models now have leatherette seats, a six-speaker sound system, six airbags, and a panoramic sunroof.

The Astor now only comes with the 110 PS 1.5-liter normally aspirated petrol engine choice, while the 140 PS 1.3-liter turbo-petrol engine has been removed. There are two transmission options: a CVT automatic gearbox and a 6-speed manual. The 2025 MG Astor would cost between Rs 10 lakh and Rs 17.56 lakh (ex-showroom).

  1. Mahindra Scorpio N Line

The Carbon Edition gave the Mahindra Scorpio N a dark theme. It comes in the higher-spec Z8 and Z8 L versions and starts at Rs 19.19 lakh (ex-showroom). The alloy wheels, roof rails, outside rearview mirrors (ORVMs), and window cladding have all been blacked out as part of the exterior upgrades. Furthermore, all components that were previously coated in silver, such as the skid plates, are now finished in dark gray.

Black leatherette seat upholstery, brushed aluminum trim on the AC vents, and an all-black motif within the interior add to its allure. An 8-inch infotainment system, a 7-inch driver's display, a single-pane sunroof, heated front seats, six airbags, a rear parking camera with sensors, and a tire pressure monitoring system are among the amenities that the Scorpio N Carbon Edition has to offer.

  1. Tata Harrier and Safari Stealth Edition

The Harrier and Safari Stealth Editions were introduced by Tata Motors. Both SUVs have a matte-finished black exterior with dual-tone alloy wheels and a blacked-out front grille and bumper.

The Harrier and Safari Stealth Editions' interiors include black leatherette seat upholstery and an all-black design. Among the best amenities include a 12.3-inch infotainment system, a motorized tailgate, a wireless phone charger, a panoramic sunroof, and ventilated front seats.

A 2-liter diesel engine that generates 170 PS and 350 Nm powers both Stealth Editions. It is mated to either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission. Ex-showroom prices for the Harrier Stealth Edition and Safari Stealth Edition start at Rs 25.10 lakh and Rs 25.75 lakh, respectively.

  1. BYD Sealion 7

The Chinese automaker's fourth electric vehicle in India, the BYD Sealion 7, was introduced in the second part of February. It costs between Rs 48.90 lakh and Rs 54.90 lakh (ex-showroom) and comes in Premium and Performance versions.

A 10.25-inch driver's display, a panoramic glass roof, 11 airbags, a 360-degree video system, a 15.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and Level 2 ADAS are some of the important features.

There are two engine choices for the Sealion 7: a 530 PS all-wheel-drive twin electric motor arrangement and a 313 PS rear-wheel-drive single electric motor setup. Both come with an 82.5 kWh battery pack that is said to have a 567 km range.

  1. Audi RS Q8 Performance

The RS Q8 Performance was introduced by German automaker Audi for Rs 2.49 crore (ex-showroom). It is now the most powerful Audi SUV. The 4-liter twin-turbo petrol engine that powers the RS Q8 Performance produces 640 PS and 850 Nm, enabling it to sprint from 0 to 100 kmph in only 3.6 seconds.

Highlights of the design include a blacked-out grille, 23-inch alloy wheels with red brake callipers, and LED headlights and taillights with adjustable lighting patterns. The inside of the RS Q8 Performance is all black and includes a leather-wrapped steering wheel, contrast stitching, and a leatherette sports seat. It competes with vehicles like the Lamborghini Urus and Aston Martin DBX in India.

  1. 2025 Toyota Land Cruiser 300 GR-S

In India, Toyota debuted the MY2025 Land Cruiser 300, with ex-showroom prices beginning at Rs 2.31 crore. Additionally, the Japanese automaker unveiled the GR-S model, which retails for Rs 2.41 crore (ex-showroom). The alloy wheels, door handles, and ORVMs are all blacked out, and the GR-S also has a blacked-out honeycomb grille in contrast to the ordinary ZX version.

It also features a retuned suspension setup with improved shock absorbers and differential locks, enhancing its off-road capabilities. Additional off-road features include a crawl control function, a four-camera multi-terrain monitor with a panoramic view, and multiple terrain modes. Powering the 2025 Land Cruiser 300 is a 3.3-litre twin-turbo diesel engine producing 309 PS and 700 Nm paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission.

  1. Rolls-Royce Ghost Series Two

The Ghost Series II was introduced by Rolls-Royce in India for Rs 8.95 crore (ex-showroom). The Ghost Series II has minor design improvements over the model it replaces, such as revised LED headlights that give it a sleeker, more contemporary appearance.

The Ghost Series II's interior is essentially the same, except a few small adjustments to the dashboard. Standard, Black Badge, and Extended are the three varieties that are offered. A 6.75-liter twin-turbo V12 engine that generates 600 PS and 900 Nm of torque powers the Ghost Series II.

Despite February 2025 being a relatively quiet month for car launches, automakers still managed to keep things exciting with model-year updates, special editions, and a few brand-new offerings. Kia, Renault, MG, and Honda focused on enhancing existing models with new features and aesthetic upgrades, while Mahindra and Tata introduced bold, black-themed editions of their popular SUVs.
