BYD patent Denza N9 in India on the new flagship Denza N9, Denza's new flagship SUV. After being exhibited at the Guangzhou Auto Show in November 2024, the Denza N9 attempts to carve out its very own strong market among luxury SUV aspirants the world over.
Exterior and Interior Highlights
The Denza N9 possesses primarily upscale and modern designs that are enclosed from the front with well-finished LED projectors and a heavy design bumper. The side gets a minimum, yet, class design by either 21 inches or 22 inches of multi-spoke alloy wheels giving it a very strong road presence. At the back is installed a contemporary design with an attached LED light strip covering the entire width of the tailgate.
The interior cabin is all about technology, with a big 17.3-inch center infotainment touchscreen, flanked on either side by two smaller screens where the cluster and co-passenger may get their information on the two 13.2-inch displays. Another one is the head-up display for driver convenience. The second-row seats are delivered with individual captain seats; each seat has its foldable writing table on it along with a folding central screen for entertainment purposes; and it extends to accommodate two persons in the third row.

Powertrain Options
The Denza N9 will be equipped with both PHEV and all-electric powertrain options when it is launched in China in 2025. The gasoline engine in the PHEV variant is a 2.0-liter engine producing 205 PS and two electric motors offering a combined 911 bhp. It has an electric drive range of up to 165 km. The all-electric Denza N9 will feature an impressive tri-motor setup producing 952 bhp, making it one of the most powerful in its class.
Market Prospects in India
It is not clear whether BYD will bring into India the Denza brand; however, the filing for trademark registration suggests that this option has been considered. It is expected that, if it were to be launched at all, the Denza N9 would be brought in as a fully electric model sold as a CBU-denoted vehicle. Among the boycotted electric vehicles in India, this luxury SUV is expected to find a self-market among the Indian consumers looking for high-end electric options.
