The BMW Z4 Roadster has been launched for Rs. 89.30 lakh (ex-showroom) and will be made available from June 2023 as a Completely Built-Up Unit (CBU) model.
The BMW Z4 M40i is available in Alpine White as non-metallic paintwork and in six metallic colour schemes. The standard interior trim is in Aluminium Mesh Effect, and upholstery options are in Leather Vernasca Black, Leather Vernasca Cognac and Leather Vernasca Magma Red.
The exterior features include a newly designed BMW kidney grille sporting a horizontal inner structure design, large air intakes, the new vertically aligned LED headlights and a long bonnet that stretches over the wheel arches, a soft-top that opens and closes electrically in ten seconds, and slim L-shaped LED rear lights to name a few.
The interior features include a driver-orientated cockpit design, ambient lighting, two-zone climate control, and an electric seat with a memory function. The performance kit includes 19-inch M light alloy wheels, M Sports Brakes, Cerium Grey finish in the kidney grille, exterior mirror caps and trapezoidal exhaust tailpipes, to name a few.
The cabin has a leather and Alcantara interior with blue contrast stitching and blue piping, and M sports seats with additional adjustment options and an M leather steering wheel. The BMW Z4 M40i uses a three-litre six-cylinder in-line engine with an eight-speed transmission that belts 340 bhp and 500 Nm of peak torque. The company claims a sprint from nought to 100 kmph in 4.5 seconds. It has a top speed of 250 kmph.
The car comes with a bevvy of features such as a 10.25-inch driver display and another 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster with wireless Apple CarPlay, Active Park Distance Control (PDC), a rearview camera with park assist, adaptive navigation system, auto start-stop, ECO PRO mode, brake regeneration, and drive modes to name a few.
The safety kit includes airbags front and side airbags for the driver and passenger, Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with brake assist, Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) including Cornering Brake Control (CBC), Dynamic Brake Control (DBC), side-impact protection, electronic vehicle immobiliser and crash sensor to name a few.
