BMW has introduced a new variant of the 3 Series Gran Limousine sedan, the BMW 320Ld M Sport Pro, priced at Rs 65 lakh (ex-showroom, India). The new trim, which sits above the M Sport variant, comes with a 2.0-litre diesel engine and additional features and upgrades, offering buyers more premium styling and advanced technology.
What’s New in the BMW 320Ld M Sport Pro?
The M Sport Pro trim brings a host of cosmetic enhancements and advanced features over the standard M Sport variant, justifying its Rs 3 lakh premium. Notable exterior upgrades include a blacked-out kidney grille, adaptive LED headlights with a smoked-out effect, and a gloss-black rear diffuser, all contributing to a sportier look.
Inside, the car receives an exclusive M Anthracite headliner and new illuminated contour strips on the back of the front seats as part of the ambient lighting. Additional features like Blind Spot Assistant, Lane Change Assistant, and Parking Assistant Plus with Remote 3D View are introduced, thanks to the inclusion of ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) technology.
The BMW 320Ld M Sport Pro is available in four color options – Mineral White, Skyscraper Grey, Carbon Black, and Portimao Blue – providing buyers with a variety of aesthetic choices.
Interior and Tech Features
While the new M Sport Pro adds several unique touches, it carries forward many features from the standard M Sport trim. The cabin comes equipped with a 12.3-inch driver’s display and a 14.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Tech-savvy customers will appreciate wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Additionally, the sedan boasts a three-zone climate control system, a panoramic sunroof, and a 16-speaker Harman Kardon Surround Sound system for an immersive audio experience.
Other features include illuminated door sills and a 360-degree camera, enhancing both the luxury and functionality of the vehicle.
Engine and Performance
Under the hood, the BMW 320Ld M Sport Pro is powered by a 2.0-litre diesel engine that produces 190hp and 400Nm of torque. The engine is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission, which sends power to the rear wheels. BMW claims that the sedan can sprint from 0-100kph in 7.6 seconds and has a fuel efficiency of 19.61kpl.
For driving versatility, the 320Ld M Sport Pro offers three drive modes – Eco Pro, Comfort, and Sport. Paddle shifters on the steering wheel further enhance the driving experience, allowing for quick gear changes in Sport mode.
The BMW 320Ld M Sport Pro offers a compelling mix of luxury, performance, and cutting-edge technology. With its premium design upgrades, advanced driver assistance features, and powerful 2.0-litre diesel engine, it caters to those looking for a sportier and more sophisticated take on the 3 Series Gran Limousine. Though it comes at a higher price point, the added features and enhanced driving experience make it a worthwhile investment for luxury sedan enthusiasts.
