Hyundai Ioniq 5 Xrt Revealed With Off Road Focus

Hyundai Ioniq 5 XRT Revealed with Off-Road Focus

Hyundai has introduced the new Ioniq 5 XRT, a rugged variant of the popular Ioniq 5, designed with mild off-roading in mind. This new model features unique styling elements, a lifted suspension, and all-terrain capabilities that set it apart from the standard version.

Unique Styling and Off-Road Enhancements

The Ioniq 5 XRT stands out from the rest of the Ioniq 5 line-up with its rugged aesthetic and functional design updates. The XRT features digital camouflage cladding on the front and rear bumpers, dark contrast shades, and two red-painted hooks at the front, all of which give it an aggressive, off-road-ready appearance.

Hyundai has equipped the Ioniq 5 XRT with a suspension lift that raises the car by 23mm compared to the standard model. Additionally, the SUV rides on new 18-inch alloy wheels fitted with all-terrain tyres, enhancing its ability to tackle rugged trails. The updated suspension and tyres provide better off-road performance, with approach and departure angles improved to 19.8 and 30 degrees, respectively—offering better trail handling than the standard Ioniq 5.

Interior and Special Features

Inside, the Ioniq 5 XRT offers some unique touches to differentiate itself from the regular model. It comes with black mirrors, slightly altered seat upholstery, and a three-spoke steering wheel, as opposed to the two-spoke design seen in the standard version. The exterior paint options include two exclusive colours, further enhancing the model’s distinct appeal.

Power and Performance

Under the hood, the Ioniq 5 XRT is equipped with an 84kWh battery that powers motors on both axles, giving it an all-wheel-drive (AWD) setup. While Hyundai has yet to officially announce the power output figures, it's expected to hover around the 320hp mark, similar to the standard dual-motor version of the Ioniq 5. This ensures that the XRT delivers plenty of power for off-road adventures while retaining the eco-friendly benefits of an electric vehicle.

Will the Ioniq 5 XRT Come to India?

While the Ioniq 5 facelift has been unveiled internationally, it is unclear whether the rugged XRT variant will make its way to India. The standard Ioniq 5 is already available in India, and Hyundai enthusiasts will be eagerly awaiting any news about the possible arrival of the XRT.

The Hyundai Ioniq 5 XRT brings a unique blend of electric power and off-road capability, making it a standout option for those looking for an adventure-ready EV. With its enhanced suspension, rugged design, and powerful AWD setup, the XRT is designed to tackle challenging trails while still maintaining the eco-friendly nature of the Ioniq 5. Whether or not it comes to India, the Ioniq 5 XRT is certainly a bold step forward for Hyundai in the electric SUV market. Also Read:
