BMW has just released two of its 50 Jahre Edition models in India, the 330Li M Sport, with a price tag of Rs 64 Lakh, and the M340i, which is priced at Rs 76.90 lakh ex-showroom.
All of the variations are very limited (just 50 units per variant). Now, interestingly, these versions are also slightly more premium over their regular equivalents; by Rs 1.40 lakh in the case of the 330Li, and by Rs 1 lakh in the case of the M340i.
BMW 330Li M Sport 50 Jahre edition
The accent of the 330Li M Sport 50 Jahre Edition is the very minor visual modifications in comparison to the rest model. It is given a gloss-black finish to the kidney grille, window surrounds, rear diffuser, and tailpipes. Its exclusiveness is captured with a 1/50 badge on the B-pillar.
Internally, the sedan is presented with carbon fibre interior trim, the head-up display and the 3D augmented navigation.
Exterior colours consist of Mineral White, Skyscraper Grey, and M Carbon Black colours with Vernasca Cognac and black upholstery.
With the usual 2.0 litre, turbo-petrol engine that can deliver 258 hp and 400Nm, power comes with the usual drivetrain as used by the regular 330Li.

The M340i 50 Jahre Edition goes even further, featuring special ‘50 Jahre’ logos on the front and rear as well as on the hubcaps, with the M and M340i badges painted in gloss black. It also features 330Li badging on the B-pillar as well as an M Performance key fob. As a collectible, buyers will also be given a 1:18 scale model of the BMW 3.0 CSL.
Masked beneath is the 3.0-litre, inline six-cylinder petrol powertrain that churns 374 power and 500Nm to maintain innovative advances in performance under the hood.
The outside choices are Dravit Grey, Black Sapphire, Fire Red Metallic, and Arctic Race Blue, with M-highlights Vernasca leather lining used on the inside.
Limited edition, Rare and High Performance
Only 50 units of both the 330Li and M340i 50 Jahre Editions will be made, which are aimed at those admirers of exclusivity who match luxury and performance. Combining special design elements, commemorative badging and collectable accessories, BMW makes certain that these editions set themselves apart as a global 50-year tribute to the 3 Series.
