Aston Martins Next Flagship Model To Roar With Fearsome New V12 Engine

Aston Martin's Next Flagship Model to Roar with Fearsome New V12 Engine

The British brand’s new flagship model, The car fans were desperately waiting for is confirmed to be powered by a V12 engine. It is also known that not only did it bring back the storied Vanquish name but also the thunderous V12 engine with far more power than the outgoing DBS. The new engine, set to power the most exclusive and limited-availability models, will deliver class-leading performance with 835 PS (824 HP) and 1,000 Nm (738 lb-ft) of torque.

Improvements to Engines

Aston Martin has made major improvements to its V12 engine, demonstrating the company's dedication to providing unmatched performance. For increased efficiency, the cylinder block has been reinforced, the cylinder heads have been rebuilt, and the camshafts have been reprofiled. For improved combustion, new intake and exhaust ports have been added, and spark plugs have been moved. The engine's remarkable capabilities are further strengthened with the addition of more potent fuel injectors and improved turbochargers for increased responsiveness and speed.

Special Limited-Edition Models

The company's subliminal suggestion regarding the naming of the upcoming flagship model—possibly the Vanquish—indicates a daring step in the direction of exclusivity. The redesigned V12 engine will be handcrafted in extremely limited quantities, and this model will be the first in a series of "exclusive and limited-availability models" to have it. This strategy demonstrates Aston Martin's aim to provide its most discriminating clients with a genuinely outstanding and one-of-a-kind driving experience.

Aston Martin's vision

Chief Technological Officer Roberto Fedeli of Aston Martin spoke eloquently about the significance of the V12 engine as a representation of strength, status, enthusiasm for engineering, and technological prowess. This engine, which has an amazing 835 horsepower and 1,000 Nm of torque, signals the start of a new era for Aston Martin. To demonstrate its dedication to innovation and performance, the brand wants to transform its flagship GT into a true supercar that stands apart from its V8-engined competitors.

Design & Innovations in Chassis

The DB12 platform-based Vanquish appears to be a significantly improved model in spy photos, suggesting more power beneath the hood. The bigger front grille and chunkier lower splitter help to increase downforce, while the additional vents on the bonnet are intended to aid cooling. Aerodynamic performance is enhanced by the wider rear diffuser, and the greater power output is shown by the four-tailpipe exhaust arrangement. A complete chassis redesign for the Vanquish is anticipated, taking cues from the DBS 770 Ultimate setup. This rework is likely to include stiffer suspension and upgraded dampers to improve cornering and all-around track performance.

Embracing the V12 Legacy

Alex Long, Strategy and Product Boss at Aston Martin highlights the brand's continued devotion to V12 engines and the sentimental attachment that customers have to these drivetrains. V12 engines will always have a particular place in the hearts of Aston Martin devotees, even in the face of the continuous march toward electrification. The brand makes sure that these engines stay a crucial component of its selection since it acknowledges their distinct appeal and performance attributes.

This summer is expected to bring the official confirmation of the Vanquish, most likely at the August Monterey Car Week, where Aston Martin has previously unveiled other high-profile vehicles such as the Valhalla supercar, DBR22 fast, and Valkyrie Spider. This occasion will be the ideal venue for showcasing the brand's most recent innovation and its dedication to providing outstanding performance.
