The 2023 Honda Shine 125 has been launched at a price of Rs. 79,800 (ex-showroom) for the drum variant and Rs. 83,800 for the disc variant. Sitting in a diamond frame setup is a BSVI OBD2 compliant four-stroke, single-cylinder, fuel-injected engine mated to a five-speed gearbox that produces 10.6 bhp of power at 7,500 rpm and 11 Nm of peak torque at 6000 rpm. The bike runs on 18-inch tubeless tyres with 130 mm drum brakes on both wheels and a 240 mm disc brake on the front wheel for the disc variant.
The bike has a seat height of 791 mm, ground clearance of 162 mm, a fuel tank capacity of 10.5 litres, and tips the scales at 113 kg. A telescopic unit does suspension duties for the front section and a dual shock absorber at the rear. It can be had in five shades: Black, Geny Grey Metallic, Matte Axis Grey, Rebel Red Metallic, and Decent Blue Metallic.
Other noteworthy mentions include the front visor with chrome garnish, chrome side covers, graphics, and chrome muffler cover. The company is also offering a 10-year warranty package on the bike which includes three years as a standard warranty and an extended period of seven years. The Honda Shine 125 takes on the likes of the Hero Glamour 125 and Bajaj Pulsar 125 to name a few.
