W16 Powered Hypercar Era Coming To An End Soon Meet The Last Ever Bugatti Chiron

W16-powered hypercar era coming to an end soon? Meet The Last-Ever Bugatti Chiron

The era of the W16-powered Hypercar is about to come to an end. The last Chiron Super Sport, named L'Ultime by Bugatti, is a tribute to the original Geneva display car and signals the end of an era for the W16 engine. In addition to mixing the hues French Racing Blue and Atlantic Blue, this limited edition Chiron has historical emblems and landmarks. It also has distinctive elements like mismatched wheel finishes and a blue macaron insignia.

The Final Chiron Supersport

The Chiron Super Sport will be powered by an 8.0L Quad-Turbo W16 engine that generates 1,600 horsepower and 1,180 lb-ft of torque. It has a 7-speed DSG transmission installed. Unlike the original Geneva display car, which had the colors divided by the C-line, the L'Ultime edition features a mix of the two hues. A handwritten list of the locations and occasions that added to the legend of the Chiron is also included in the vehicle.

An Exhibition of Artisanship

The vehicle includes several significant events from the Chiron's past, such as its Geneva premiere, testing sessions at Circuit Paul Ricard, and the 2019 Ehra-Lessien 300-mph run. Among the notable locations are the Château Saint Jean, Cape Canaveral, and Bugatti's residence in Molsheim, where a large number of owners have safely increased their hypercars' top speeds. In addition, the vehicle has multiple "500" motifs to denote its final Chiron production run.

Interior and Exterior Upgrades

The façade has a horseshoe-shaped Atlantic Blue grille with a distinctive mesh pattern, and the wing mirrors display the French flag. French Racing Blue highlights and Blue Carbon Matte trim components complement the Deep Blue leather inside finish. A true work of art, the leather is applied, sewn, and cut by hand.

A Chapter Turning Point and the End of an Era

With the manufacturing of the Bolide and the W16 Mistral roadster on the horizon, Bugatti is entering a new chapter with the end of the Chiron era. The next significant achievement for the firm will be the June release of its naturally aspirated hybridized V16-powered Chiron replacement. It is anticipated that this new engine would perform with the same level of elegance and smoothness as the W16 engine.
