Volkswagen Is Back With Id4 Launch Expected By The End Of 2024

Volkswagen is back with ID.4, Launch expected by the end of 2024.

Last week, at Volkswagen’s annual brand conference in Jaipur, they unveiled the ID.4 EV. By the end of 2024, the Volkswagen ID.4 is anticipated to go on sale, signalling VW's foray into the profitable EV market, as a premium CBU import. Read the information in detail here:

ID.4: Exterior and interior

The Volkswagen ID.4 has an elegant appearance on the outside. The Volkswagen logo is front and centre, encircled by wraparound LED headlights that draw attention to the car's aerodynamic design because the front radiator grille has been removed. Additionally, there are dynamic components like the honeycomb air dam running the length of the front bumper and the air scoops on either end.

The ID.4's interior features a 10-inch touchscreen entertainment system and a 5.3-inch digital driver's display. With features like a 3-zone climate control system, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 12-way electrically adjustable driver's seat, and more, the all-black inside has a premium feel to it.

ID.4: Powertrain

Based on the company's MEB platform, the Volkswagen ID.4 has a stated range of 479 kilometres between charges and is powered by a 77kWh battery pack. With its two-motor setup, the ID.4 generates 286PS of power and 310 Nm of torque. It can reach a top speed of 180 mph and complete a sprint from 0 to 100 mph in 6.3 seconds.

ID.4: Features

The ID.4 is equipped with all of the usual comfort and convenience features found throughout the Volkswagen range. Dual-zone climate control and a motorised tailgate with Easy Open & Close are a premium feature in the electric Volkswagen. A 12-inch touchscreen infotainment unit, augmented reality heads-up display, wireless mobile charging, wireless App-Connect, and linked car technology are among the technological features offered by the ID.4.

Six airbags, a 360-degree camera, and an extensive array of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) are among the ID.4's standard safety features. The battery is protected from road dangers by a detachable aluminium underbody panel. To be extra safe, the battery is automatically turned off in the event of a serious collision.

ID.4: Launch, Prices and Rivals

By the end of 2024, the Volkswagen ID.4 is expected to go on sale in India. It seems probable that VW will provide the ID.4 through the CBU channel. Because of this, we anticipate that it will cost between Rs. 60 lakh and Rs. 65 lakh, placing it in the same price range as the Kia EV6. When it debuts in the Indian market, the VW ID.4 may also compete with the Hyundai Ioniq 5 and the Volvo XC40 Recharge.
