Upcoming 5 New Cars From Honda In India

Upcoming 5 New Cars from Honda in India

Honda Cars India has faced a challenging few years, primarily relying on the Amaze and the City to sustain its market presence. Recently, the brand updated the City with enhanced safety features and new variants. Excitingly, Honda has a lineup of new cars set to launch soon. Here are the upcoming Honda cars you can look forward to:

1. Honda Creta Rival

Honda is gearing up to launch a new C-SUV, already spotted being tested on Indian roads. This SUV, expected to be around 4,200mm to 4,300mm in length, will feature a floating 10-inch infotainment system. It will likely be powered by a 1.5-litre petrol engine, with a 1.5-litre strong hybrid as an option. Transmission choices will include a 6-speed manual and a CVT gearbox.

2. New Honda Amaze

The compact sedan Amaze is set for a generation update in mid-2024. The new Amaze will be based on an updated version of the PF2 platform and will be a petrol-only sedan, powered by a 1.2-litre engine producing 89bhp and 110Nm of torque. It will feature design elements from the Accord and the updated City, along with a new interior layout and a floating screen design. It will compete with the Maruti Dzire, Tata Tigor, and Hyundai Aura.

3. Honda WRV

The Honda WRV, unveiled in South Asian markets last year, is expected to launch in India to compete with the Tata Nexon and Hyundai Venue. Based on the PF2 platform, it comes with Honda Safety Sense (ADAS) and other safety features like Auto High Beam and Lead Car Departure. It will be powered by a 1.5-litre petrol engine generating 119bhp and 145Nm of torque, with a 6-speed MT and CVT gearbox.

4. Honda 7-Seater SUV

Following the launch of the Creta rival, Honda plans to introduce a longer-wheelbase 7-seater SUV. This model will target competitors like the Hyundai Alcazar and the upcoming 7-seater Grand Vitara (Y17). It will feature more premium interiors, possibly a more powerful petrol engine, and a 7-seater configuration.

5. Honda Affordable EV

Honda has announced plans for an affordable EV suitable for the Indian market. While the specific model is yet to be revealed, there are hints it might be an India-specific development rather than a direct global portfolio transfer like the Honda One. This affordable EV is expected to be priced between Rs 10 to 15 lakh, making it accessible to many Indian consumers.
