Unofficial Bookings Open For The New Kia Carnival In India

Unofficial Bookings Open for the New Kia Carnival in India

Kia India is gearing up to introduce two highly anticipated models to the Indian market: the all-new Carnival MPV and the flagship EV9, a three-row electric SUV. While the EV9 is set to be Kia’s premium electric offering, the Carnival MPV is a generational update to the popular model that was previously available in India. Ahead of its official launch, some Kia dealerships have already started accepting unofficial bookings for the Carnival.

How to Book the New Kia Carnival

Interested buyers can reserve their new Kia Carnival by paying a token amount of ₹1 lakh at select authorized dealerships. The new Carnival, which has already been spotted in white at Delhi Airport, is expected to be available in a single top-spec variant with multiple color options. This sighting suggests that the official release is just around the corner.

Expected Pricing and Availability

The new Kia Carnival will be imported as a Completely Built Unit (CBU), which is likely to influence its pricing. The updated MPV is expected to be priced between ₹45 lakh and ₹50 lakh (ex-showroom). This price range positions the Carnival as a premium offering in its segment, catering to buyers looking for a luxurious people mover.

Engine and Performance

Under the hood, the new Carnival will be powered by the familiar 2.2-litre diesel engine, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. This engine delivers a robust 191 bhp and 441 Nm of peak torque, providing a smooth and powerful driving experience. The Carnival’s powertrain is well-suited for both city driving and long highway journeys, making it a versatile choice for families and business users alike.

Competition and Market Positioning

While the new Kia Carnival will occupy a unique space in the Indian market, with no direct rivals in its price range, it could be compared to the top-end variant of the Toyota Innova Hycross. However, in terms of features, dimensions, and body style, the Carnival is more closely aligned with the Toyota Vellfire, which is priced upwards of ₹1 crore.

With its premium features, spacious interior, and powerful engine, the new Kia Carnival is set to attract buyers looking for a luxurious and practical MPV. If you're interested in this upcoming model, you may want to secure your booking soon, as demand is likely to be high.

As the launch date approaches, the anticipation around the new Kia Carnival continues to build. Stay tuned for more updates and let us know in the comments if you're planning to book this premium MPV!
