The superintendent Pramod Kumar reported that Zamindar's condition was critical, to give an idea that the situation later was miserable. Even though the emergency teams, which comprised of the Mussoorie Police and the Fire Service as well as the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) quickly intervened, the matters became more complicated as the rescue operations got underway.
