2023 witnessed an electrifying rise in the automotive industry, especially in the range of electric cars that are not only fast but environmentally friendly as well. Among various manufacturers, Mahindra led the industry with its compact and stylish electric cars, not only excelling in petrol and diesel cars but also seeing a significant uptick in sales of its EVs.

Electric vehicles, rapidly gaining popularity in India, have caught the attention of people across the country. Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari projected a potential one crore EV sales annually by 2030, expecting the segment to generate an estimated five crore jobs.

According to Vahan's database, India already has around 34.54 lakh registered EVs, a promising figure marking the increasing adoption of electric vehicles nationwide. Alongside Mahindra, Tata Motors and electric vehicle of MG models also grew in popularity, becoming favorites among buyers in 2023.

Mg Comet EV is the most cost-effective electric car in India, priced at Rs. 7.98 lakhs (ex-showroom). Its battery capacity is about 17.3 kWh with a range of 230 km on a full charge. Its Charging Time is around 5.5 to 7 hours. It is one of the most popular electric cars in India.

  1. Hyundai Ioniq 5

Hyundai Ioniq 5 is Priced at ₹45.95 lakhs with a battery capacity of 72.6 kWh. It Covers 631 kilometers on a full charge. And Accelerate to 100 km/h in 7.6 seconds. Its Charging Time is approximately 7 hours.

Its Price Range is ₹45.95 lakhs (ex-showroom).

  1. Mahindra XUV400 EV

Mahindra XUV400 EV Entry is the First electric vehicle from Mahindra, priced between ₹15.99 lakhs to ₹19.19 lakhs (ex-showroom).

Its Battery Range Varies between 34.5 to 39.4 kWh, covering 375-456 km when fully charged. The price range is around ₹15.99 lakhs ₹19.19 lakhs (ex-showroom).

Pricing Ranges between ₹11.61 lakhs - ₹12.79 lakhs (ex-showroom) of Citroen eC3.

Battery Capacity is 29.2 kWh, offering a range of 320 km on a full charge. AC charging takes nearly 10 hours, while DC fast charging is completed in 57 minutes. It can go from 0 to 60 km/h in 6.8 seconds.

Its Price Range is ₹11.61 lakhs ₹12.79 lakhs (ex-showroom).
