The Sporty Tata Altroz Launched In India At Rs 9 Lakh 49 Thousand

All-new sportier Tata Altroz- The racer launched in India

Tata Motors has finally launched the much-awaited sportier iteration of the Altroz, dubbed the 'Racer', in India. The performance hatchback is available in three variants at a starting ex-showroom price of Rs. 9.49 lakh. The Altroz Racer boasts a sporty design, advanced features, and a powerful engine, making it a compelling choice for those seeking a thrilling driving experience.

Design and Features

The Altroz Racer can be had in R1, R2, and R3 variants across three color options: Atomic Orange, Avenue White, and Pure Grey. The dual-tone paint scheme, blacked-out roof and bonnet, white strips running across the hood and roof, blacked-out Altroz badging, Dark-themed alloy wheels, and Racer badges across the body distinguish this new version from the standard Altroz. The sporty theme extends inside the car with a blacked-out cabin and red accents over the aircon vents, center console, and seat upholstery.

The Altroz Racer comes loaded with a range of features, including a large 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, automatic climate control, a seven-inch digital instrument panel, 360-degree surround camera with blind spot monitor, air purifier, ambient lighting, ventilated front seats, and an electrically adjustable sunroof. These features provide a premium and modern driving experience.

Engine Performance

At the heart of the Altroz Racer is a 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol motor paired only with a six-speed manual gearbox. This Nexon-sourced engine is tuned to generate 118bhp and 170Nm of peak torque. The Altroz Racer competes against the Hyundai i20 N Line in the performance hatchback segment, offering a thrilling driving experience.

Pricing

In addition to launching the Altroz Racer, Tata Motors has updated the Altroz hatchback’s line-up by introducing two new higher-spec trims—XZ LUX and XZ+S LUX.

Tata Altroz XZ LUX - Rs. 9.49 lakh

Tata Altroz XZ+S LUX - Rs 9.65 lakh

Tata Altroz XZ+ OS – Rs. 9.99 lakh

In summary, The Tata Altroz Racer is a significant addition to the Altroz lineup, offering a sportier and more thrilling driving experience. With its advanced features, powerful engine, and sporty design, it is poised to attract a new set of customers in the performance hatchback segment. Bookings for the Altroz Racer commenced earlier this month, and it is now available at Tata dealerships across India.
