Teased: The "Formula E" Edition of the Mahindra BE 6

Using visual cues from the company's Formula E racing program, Mahindra is getting ready to reveal a special motorsport-inspired version of its upcoming BE 6 electric SUV. The edition, which is finished in a striking shade of Firestorm Orange and features improved lighting, edgier appearance, and racing-themed decals, intends to emphasize Mahindra's expanding performance-EV profile. The car, which will make its debut on November 26–27, 2025, at the Scream Electric event in Bengaluru, is a reflection of the company's drive for more innovative, design-driven electric mobility.

  • The Mahindra BE 6's upcoming limited edition will be inspired by the company's history in motorsports.

  • The announcement is scheduled for the "Scream Electric" event in Bengaluru on November 26 and 27, 2025.

A teaser video displaying a remarkable BE 6 electric SUV with a vibrant Firestorm Orange paint job and subtle allusions to motorsport tradition has been produced by Indian automaker Mahindra. "Experience the Winning Formula," the teaser's tagline, alludes to a "Formula E" or BE 6 with a racing theme.

What we know so far, design and event details

On November 26–27, 2025, during the Scream Electric event in Bengaluru, Mahindra's "Electric Origin" SUVs will go on sale for the first time. This is when the special edition will debut.

In keeping with a more aggressive, sporty EV stance, the exterior has been updated with circular projector LED headlamps, a sharper bonnet design, unique alloy wheels, a roof spoiler, and discrete LED light bars at the back (instead of a connected light bar).

Rallying and racing cues, such as emblems, decals, and perhaps contrasting black-and-white accents over the main orange paint job, are anticipated to be included in the livery.

Street EV meets motorsport tradition

It is evident that Mahindra's motorsport endeavors are the inspiration for this limited edition. The firm, which was one of the first teams in the Formula E series, recently made a spectacular comeback by placing fourth with 186 points in the Team Championship in Season 11.

Mahindra is converting its racing triumph into a production electric SUV targeted at Indian driving enthusiasts by introducing a "Formula E" version of the BE 6.

Specifications and platform remain (probably) unchanged

According to reports, this BE 6 variant would mostly adhere to the standard model mechanically, but design and badging will receive the special-edition touch.

Previous iterations of the BE 6 employ the INGLO electric platform and provide up to 79 kWh of battery capacity for driving in the Indian market, although official specifications for this edition have not yet been confirmed. This implies that styling and branding improvements will take precedence over significant performance/drivetrain changes for this edition.

Why It's Important

The Mahindra BE 6's performance-inspired variant adds a new dimension to India's expanding EV market by demonstrating that electric cars can provide thrill and emotional appeal in addition to efficiency and range. By taking cues from its motorsport program, Mahindra enhances the relationship between its road-going EV lineup and its racing accomplishments, increasing brand trust. The high-profile Scream Electric event is linked to the unveiling, which increases anticipation and creates the conditions for a significant market impact.
