Tata Nexon Cng Testing Begins Launch Likely To Be Soon

Tata Nexon CNG: Testing begins Launch likely to be soon

As the automotive industry gears up for a shift to the CNG industry, Tata Motors takes the lead with its upcoming launch of the Tata Nexon CNG. With increasing concerns for fuel efficiency and the environment, the Tata Nexon CNG will change the game for the compact SUV segment in the country.

Testing Begins

The recent spotting around Pune confirmed that Tata Motors has begun its rigorous testing for the Nexon CNG variant. Testing is indeed one important stage for Tata's reputation. The Nexon CNG is expected to feature a 1.2L, 3-cylinder turbo petrol engine complemented by a factory-fitted CNG kit.

The petrol engine, on the other hand, is powered by an 86bhp power output and 113Nm of torque, while the CNG variant will be slightly more in these figures, producing 73bhp of power and 95Nm of torque.

What’s new?

At the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2024 on Monday, Tata Motors unveiled the Nexon iCNG, which will be advertised as the first car in India with a turbocharged CNG drivetrain. The project will establish new standards for the CNG vehicle market through the innovative combination of efficiency and performance. A 1.2L turbocharged petrol engine tuned for CNG compatibility, the greener fuel for transportation, will be included with the Nexon iCNG.

Features and updates

The Tata Nexon CNG's twin-cylinder technology will allow for the boot to accommodate two CNG cylinders without compromising the amount of room for luggage inside the vehicle. It is first and foremost equipped with a manual gearbox, though an automatic version may be added later. Additional features include wireless phone charging, a 360-degree camera, and a larger 10.25-inch infotainment system which will be available on the higher variants of the lineup to make sure that choosing an environmentally friendly car does not mean settling for a feature-light vehicle.

Pricing and Launch Timeline

Expected to start at approximately Rs 9.00 Lakh (ex-showroom), the Tata Nexon CNG is expected to arrive at a competitive price point and undoubtedly offer value for environmentally conscious consumers looking to purchase a small SUV.

For 2024, the first half of the year is the earmarked launch period, which will remain in the minds of the people of Tata Motors as a remarkable moment in their long journey toward sustainable mobility.

The approaching final launch of the Tata Nexon CNG is evidence of Tata Motors' unwavering commitment to providing best-in-class innovation with minimal environmental impact and, most importantly, ensuring customer satisfaction. The vehicle is a jump towards an environmentally friendly automotive future rather than just a step in the right direction for cleaner driving.
