Tata Harrier And Safari Updated New Adas Features Fresh Colors And Enhanced Appeal

Tata Harrier and Safari Updated: New ADAS Features, Fresh Colors, and Enhanced Appeal

Tata Motors has made significant updates to its popular SUVs, the Harrier and Safari, further solidifying their position in the fiercely competitive SUV market. The enhancements include the addition of advanced ADAS features and vibrant new color options, alongside their already impressive tech and safety suite.

With these updates, Tata Motors aims to provide an even more compelling offering for buyers seeking premium SUVs with cutting-edge features and strong road presence.

New ADAS Features for Enhanced Safety

One of the major highlights of the update is the inclusion of two advanced driver-assistance system (ADAS) features: lane-keeping assist and adaptive steering assist with lane centering.

  • Lane-Keeping Assist: This feature actively monitors the SUV’s position within its lane and ensures it stays centered, preventing unintended lane departures. This is especially useful during highway cruising or long-distance drives.

  • Adaptive Steering Assist with Lane Centering: This system works in conjunction with adaptive cruise control to maintain the vehicle’s lane position while also adjusting the steering to keep the SUV centered. This added functionality provides an effortless and safer driving experience.

These additions complement the existing suite of ADAS features, which include:

  • High Beam Assist

  • Forward Collision Warning

  • Autonomous Emergency Braking

  • Adaptive Cruise Control

Together, these technologies make the Harrier and Safari two of the most advanced vehicles in their segment, providing drivers with unparalleled confidence and peace of mind.

Vibrant New Color Options

Tata Motors has introduced a variety of new color options across different trims of the Harrier and Safari, adding a fresh aesthetic appeal to the SUVs.

For the Harrier

  • Smart and Pure Trims: Now available in Coral Red and Pebble Grey, alongside the existing Lunar White and Ash Grey options.

  • Adventure and Fearless Variants: Feature the new Ash Grey shade, while the higher-spec Fearless trim also offers a unique Seaweed Green color.

For the Safari

  • Smart and Pure Trims: Receive Galactic Sapphire and Stardust Ash paint finishes.

  • Adventure and Accomplished Models: Get the new Lunar Slate option, while the Supernova Copper hue is exclusive to the higher-spec Accomplished trim.

These vibrant color options give buyers more freedom to personalize their SUVs, ensuring they stand out on the road.

Impressive Powertrain Performance

Both the Harrier and Safari are powered by the robust 2.0-liter diesel engine, which continues to deliver reliable and powerful performance.

  • Engine Output: 168 bhp and 350 Nm of peak torque.

  • Transmission Options: A choice between a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic, catering to varied driving preferences.

This powertrain has earned a reputation for its balance of performance and efficiency, making the Harrier and Safari equally adept at city commutes and highway drives.

Feature-Rich Cabin and Cutting-Edge Technology

Inside the Harrier and Safari, Tata Motors has packed an array of premium features aimed at enhancing comfort, convenience, and connectivity.

Key highlights include:

  • Displays: A 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster with navigation and a free-standing central touchscreen available in 10.25-inch or 12.3-inch sizes.

  • Infotainment: Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility, paired with a 10-speaker JBL audio system featuring 13 sound modes.

  • Comfort: Powered and ventilated front seats, a panoramic sunroof, a motor-powered tailgate with gesture control, and an air purifier.

  • Innovative Controls: A redesigned gear lever with a mode selector dial, touch-based HVAC controls, and a four-spoke steering wheel featuring an illuminated Tata logo.

Safety is also paramount, with up to seven airbags, electronic stability program (ESP), ABS with EBD, ISOFIX child seat mounts, and a 360-degree camera ensuring driver and passenger safety.

Competitive Pricing and Rivals

The Harrier and Safari are competitively priced, offering exceptional value for money in their respective segments.

  • Harrier: Prices range from ₹14.99 lakh to ₹25.89 lakh.

  • Safari: Prices start at ₹15.49 lakh and go up to ₹26.79 lakh.

Both SUVs face stiff competition. The Harrier competes with the Jeep Compass, Mahindra XUV700, and MG Hector while the Safari locks horns with the MG Hector Plus, Hyundai Alcazar, and Mahindra XUV700.

Conclusion

With these updates, Tata Motors has elevated the Harrier and Safari to new heights. The addition of advanced ADAS features and a refreshed color palette complements their robust performance, luxurious interiors, and strong value proposition. These updates position the SUVs as formidable contenders in the mid-size SUV segment, appealing to buyers who seek a combination of style, safety, and cutting-edge technology.

Tata’s consistent focus on innovation and customer satisfaction ensures that the Harrier and Safari continue to be among the most popular choices for Indian SUV enthusiasts.
