Tata Altroz Teased A New Orange Black Dual Tone Exterior Shade Ahead Of Its Launch In June

Tata Altroz teased a new orange-black dual-tone exterior shade ahead of its launch in June

Tata Motors is planning to launch the Altroz racer in the Indian Market by this June. Reportedly this has been the car on which the brand has been working for quite a period. This car was previously showcased at the Bharat Mobility Show 2024, the upcoming Altroz Racer, a sportier version of their popular Altroz hatchback.

Distinctive Exterior Design

The Altroz Racer's unique orange and black dual-tone exterior color scheme is revealed in the teaser photograph. To give it a more aggressive, race-inspired appearance, the rear spoiler will also be enlarged. The Racer model's alloy wheels are finished in black, although their overall design is the same as that of the standard Altroz.

Additionally, other aggressive styling elements like a redesigned grille, dual-tip exhaust, and two white racing stripes extending from the hood to the top are also anticipated for the Altroz Racer. These visual clues will aid in setting the Racer apart from the typical Altroz.

Upscaled Interior

Inside, the Altroz Racer will have several premium feature enhancements above the standard model. This includes a 7-inch digital driver's display, ventilated front seats, a heads-up display, wireless phone charging, a bigger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and more.

Additionally, the interior will be entirely black with orange accents on the gear console, air vents, and seat and steering wheel stitching. There will also be "Racer" badging on the rearrests of the front seats.

Robust gasoline-turbo engine

The Tata Nexon's 1.2-liter turbo-petrol engine will provide power under the hood of the Altroz Racer. This engine generates 170 Nm of torque and 120 PS of power, a notable improvement over the standard Altroz i-Turbo's 110 PS and 140 Nm outputs.

The Altroz Racer will come standard with a 6-speed manual transmission, but a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission may also be an option. Compared to the standard Altroz, its more potent and responsive drivetrain ought to offer a more thrilling driving experience.

Improved Technology and Safety

The Altroz Racer will have a 360-degree video system and six airbags for further safety. Additionally, it will have cutting-edge driver-aid features like anti-lock brakes, hill hold assistance, and electronic stability control.

Features like automated headlights, height-adjustable front seats, and rain-sensing wipers will strengthen the Altroz Racer's technological suite. It can be said that together with the luxurious interior improvements, these enhancements will help position the Racer as a more premium offering in the hatchback segment.

Pricing and Positioning

The Altroz Racer is anticipated to be priced by Tata at approximately Rs 10 lakh (ex-showroom), placing it more than the standard Altroz i-Turbo, which has a starting price of Rs 9.20 lakh.

The Altroz Racer is expected to face competition from the Hyundai i20 N Line, the only other performance-focused hatchback available in the Indian market at the moment. It will also take on other premium hatchbacks like the Maruti Suzuki Baleno and Toyota Glanza.
