Skoda Enyaq Facelift: Embracing a Bold New Look
Skoda has unveiled the first teaser sketches of the facelifted Enyaq and Enyaq Coupe, showcasing its latest Modern Solid design language. First introduced in the 2022 Vision 7S concept, this new design aesthetic sets the stage for Skoda’s electric future.
The Enyaq, originally launched in 2020, marked the Czech brand's debut in the electric vehicle (EV) market and remains one of Europe’s top-selling battery electric vehicles (BEVs) in 2024.
Striking Design Updates Inspired by Modern Solid Language
The facelifted Enyaq takes inspiration from Skoda’s Elroq EV and adopts a fresh, contemporary appearance.
Key Exterior Highlights
Tech-Deck Face: A sleek and thinner grille design seamlessly integrates with the new daytime running lights (DRLs).
Revised Headlight Positioning: Headlights are now positioned below the DRLs and flanked by air intakes in the bumpers.
Elegant Silhouette: Sharp character lines, a black roof, and dark chrome accents add sophistication to the Coupe version.
C-shaped Taillights and Aerodynamic Edges: Signature taillights with a sharp tear-off edge enhance the rear profile.
Minimalist Elements: The teaser images showcase massive alloy wheels and a clean look, though production models will feature practical adjustments such as door handles and toned-down wheels.
Silver panels on the side skirts and rear bumpers seen in the sketches are expected to be replaced with durable black plastic cladding for the production-spec models.
Coupe-Like Sportiness with a Sedan Influence
The Enyaq Coupe, part of the facelift lineup, leans more towards sedan-like proportions than traditional SUV styling. This sporty aesthetic, combined with aerodynamic efficiency, aims to set the Coupe apart in the EV segment.
Skoda Enyaq’s India Plans and Bharat Mobility Global Expo Presence
While the facelifted Enyaq is set to debut globally in late 2025, India will get the pre-facelift Enyaq iV first. This model was showcased at the 2024 Bharat Mobility Global Expo (BMGE) and is expected to make another appearance at the 2025 edition in January.
