Should You Buy Kia Syros In 2025 Here Are The Pros And Cons

Should you buy Kia Syros In 2025? Here are the Pros and Cons.

With prices starting at Rs 9 lakh and going up to Rs 17.80 lakh, ex-showroom, the Kia Syros is the newest model in the portfolio, sitting between the Sonet and Seltos. As a result, it is more expensive than the Sonet but less expensive than the Seltos. After driving the Syros, This article focuses on Pros and Cons of the car.

Kia has been steadily growing its inventory since joining the Indian market with the Seltos. The Sonet, Seltos, Carens, EV6, Carnival, EV9, and the newly released Syros are the seven models that the firm presently sells in India.

Ex-showroom, the entire portfolio costs between Rs 8 lakh and Rs 1.30 crore. With prices starting at Rs 9 lakh and going up to Rs 17.80 lakh, ex-showroom, the Kia Syros is the newest model in the portfolio, sitting between the Sonet and Seltos.

Pros of the Kia Syros

Few of the pros of the Kia Syros are:

  • Unique Approach: Kia has adopted a novel strategy with the Syros, providing advanced features and space akin to the Seltos in a package the size of a Sonet. It appears to be a well-designed all-around player.

  • Design: It stands out on the road thanks to its unique design, which also distinguishes it from other versions. Kia seems to have worked very hard to make this SUV adaptable.

  • Build Quality: The SUV has excellent fit and finish quality and feels solid. The materials used in the cabin and the doors both feel high-end.

  • Powertrain Options: Both the 1.5L turbo-diesel engine (116 PS/250 Nm) and the 1-liter turbo-petrol engine (120 PS/172 Nm) are available with an automatic transmission. This increases the freedom to select the best option.

  • Performance: With its exceptional driveability, the diesel engine's performance alone is sufficient to satisfy the majority of drivers. Eco, Normal, and Sport are its three drive modes; Eco prioritizes mileage, while Sport is more performance-oriented. Furthermore, its three traction modes—snow, mud, and sand—make it adaptable to a variety of terrains.

  • Braking and Overall Handling: At high speeds, it seems mature and composed. Long travels are made more confident by its powerful braking performance and good highway positioning.

  • Top Class Cabin: The main topic of conversation about the Syros should be the cabin. Its design maximizes available space. The back seat, which has sliding and reclining capabilities, is quite roomy and the sitting is comfy. There is also plenty of boot room, with 390–465 liters.

  • Packed with Features: A 30-inch display panel, panoramic sunroof, eight-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, sunshades, paddle shifters, drive and traction modes, remote engine start, electronic parking brake with auto hold, air purifier, 360-degree camera, dual-camera dashcam, and more are just a few of its many features. It also has six airbags, ADAS Level 2, ESC, HSA, TPMS, and other safety features.

Cons of the Kia Syros.

Now, let’s talk about the Cons of Kia Syros.

  • Unconventional Style: Its styling won’t appeal to everyone and may divide opinions. You’ll either love it or find it too funky to avoid.

  • Suspension: The ride is a little firmer than average. You can feel the bumps on uneven roads, especially with the 17-inch wheels, but otherwise it's OK.

  • Rear Seat Fitting: The width of the back seat makes it more comfortable for two adults and a child than for three adults sitting together, despite its spaciousness.

  • Refinement of Diesel Engine: It was observed that the 1.5L diesel version had a faint buzzing sound within the cabin when it was at idling. Additionally, the engine noise is more audible, which may be better managed for a more enjoyable ride.

  • Many Features Missing: Despite having many features, some are lacking, such as rain-sensing wipers and a full-size spare tire on top trims, which would have increased convenience.

Conclusion

The Kia Syros' aggressive design, powerful powertrain, roomy & feature-rich cabin, and comprehensive safety package make it an exceptional vehicle. Thus, this is a fantastic choice to think about if you want tech-rich, fashionable SUVs and don't mind the stiff suspension.
