The Elevate by Honda, here, called the WR-V, has captured the imagination of the SUV-mad world. And now this most popularly sold SUV has bid adieu again with an exclusive retro-mod face, courtesy of a Japanese tuner with its grand seeing world debut at the Tokyo Auto Salon 2025, along with a bunch of other modified vehicles.
A History-Inspired Makeover
It has been bestowed upon the Honda WR-V-a full retro-mod remodel after drawing numerous cues from the vintage SUV. New the Jeep Cherokee grille stands proud indeed and squared halogen headlamps nestled in a rugged metal frame. Halogen fog lamps, an altered bumper, and meaty off-road tires that make the WR-V look tough yet true to the era complete some more vintage flavor.
Classic Interior Finish
Walk through the door, and the retro theme continues with the beautiful bright blue checkered fabric seats, a tribute to the fantastic 70's. In-house details on interior design manifest the commitment that tuners have in marrying the past with the present comforts.
In the Engine Room
Beyond the re-looking, the mechanical assembly of the SUV remains totally untouched. Retro-mod by WR-V is driven by the very well-known 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol powertrain, clipped at the end with a CVT automatic transmission for convenient driving.
So, while it offers an old-world charm, it still provides the performance that is right for a stalwart bearing the Honda badge.
