New Toyota Electric Coupe SUV to be launched on 11th March

On March 11, a new Toyota EV will be introduced; it is anticipated to be the production model of the 2022 bZ Compact SUV concept, which is a coupe SUV. When the EV enters foreign markets, it will join the bigger bZ4X and the newly unveiled Urban Cruiser EV as Toyota's third all-electric vehicle.

The Teaser image shows many new elements from the concept and the new Toyota EV to get an AWD option and the interiors are expected to be similar to Toyota C-HR.

New Toyota EV design details

Toyota has unveiled a teaser video and a single silhouette image of the e-SUV, demonstrating that the production vehicle has kept many of the concept's features, such as the enlarged bonnet and sloped roofline. The front end incorporates Toyota's new "hammerhead" design, while the rear has a light bar.

It is comparable to the Chinese-market bZ3C fastback, which was unveiled at the Beijing auto show last year, but it also has some significant distinctions, such as the appearance of the rear lights. This raises the possibility that it is a European version of the vehicle, albeit this has not been verified.

New Toyota EV Battery and range details

The new EV is anticipated to be offered with a variety of battery capacities and engine configurations, similar to the smaller Urban Cruiser. For instance, the EV with the all-wheel-drive (AWD) emblem is seen. AWD in the Urban Cruiser refers to a motor that is mounted on both axles and produces 184 horsepower and 300 Nm of torque. This has a 400-kilometer range when combined with a 61kWh battery. The 49kWh pack powers the entry-level Urban Cruiser models, which are powered by a 144 horsepower front-mounted engine. Both models have a maximum charging capacity of 150kW.

New Toyota EV interior and features

The inside of the new EV is not seen in the teasers, although it is anticipated to resemble the Toyota C-HR rather than the Urban Cruiser. This implies that a digital instrument cluster, a raised center console, and a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system are all to be expected. Among other high-end amenities, top-spec models would probably come with a JBL sound system and a panoramic sunroof.

New Toyota EV name to be launched

The name bZ3X is unlikely to be utilized. The new Toyota EV's name is still a mystery. The model may now adopt the new Urban Cruiser name, however, it was originally predicted to be designated the bZ3X, reflecting its lower size in comparison to the bigger bZ4X.

Conclusion

Toyota's new electric coupe SUV debuts on March 11 as its third all-electric model after the bZ4X and Urban Cruiser EV. Inspired by the bZ Compact SUV concept, it features a sloped roofline, a "hammerhead" front design, and an AWD option. Battery choices may mirror the Urban Cruiser, offering up to 400 km range. The interior is expected to resemble the Toyota C-HR with premium features. While its name remains uncertain, it may adopt the Urban Cruiser branding. This launch marks Toyota's continued push toward electrification.
