New Kia Carnival Breaks Booking Record With Over 1800 Pre Orders Ahead Of Launch

New Kia Carnival Breaks Booking Record with Over 1,800 Pre-Orders Ahead of Launch

Kia India is set to revolutionize the premium MPV segment with its upcoming fourth-generation Carnival, which has already created waves ahead of its official launch on 3 October 2024. The excitement surrounding the 2024 Kia Carnival was evident as the model garnered an impressive 1,822 pre-orders within the first 24 hours of opening bookings, setting a new milestone for the brand. This early response surpasses the pre-order records of its predecessors, positioning the new Carnival as one of the most anticipated vehicles in the Indian automotive market.

A Landmark Milestone

Bookings for the 2024 Kia Carnival officially opened on 16 September 2024, with interested customers required to pay a token amount of Rs 2 lakh to reserve their spot. Within just 24 hours, over 1,822 customers had pre-booked the premium MPV, highlighting the strong demand for Kia's latest offering. This impressive figure sets a new booking record for the Carnival, eclipsing the success of the previous second-generation model, which itself was a popular choice among Indian consumers.

Joonsu Cho, Chief Sales Officer of Kia India, expressed his delight at the overwhelming response, stating, "This is a proud moment for us, with the new Carnival setting new standards. We are confident the Carnival Limousine will redefine the segment. With its distinctive design, luxurious features, and segment-first technologies, the Carnival continues to push industry benchmarks."

The 2024 Kia Carnival: A Premium MPV Reimagined

The 2024 Kia Carnival promises to deliver a premium experience like no other, combining luxury, technology, and performance in a sleek and stylish package. The new model boasts a refreshed design with bold, dynamic styling and features that rival even higher-end luxury vehicles. As a Completely Built Unit (CBU) import, the Carnival will come with a price tag expected to range between Rs 45 lakh and Rs 50 lakh (ex-showroom), making it a premium option for discerning buyers.

Kia has packed the new Carnival with a host of top-tier features to cater to the evolving needs of modern families and business travelers alike. Some of the standout features include ventilated rear seats, powered sliding rear doors, and a dual sunroof for an enhanced passenger experience. The premium MPV also comes equipped with twin 12.3-inch screens, one for the infotainment system and the other for the digital instrument cluster, offering seamless connectivity and convenience. Additionally, a 12-speaker Bose sound system ensures top-notch audio quality for an immersive entertainment experience.

Advanced Safety Features and ADAS

Safety remains a top priority for Kia, and the new Carnival is no exception. The 2024 model comes with a comprehensive suite of safety features, including a Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS). This advanced safety package includes features like adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, blind-spot detection, autonomous emergency braking, and more, ensuring a safer and more confident driving experience.

With eight airbags as standard, the Carnival also ensures maximum protection for all occupants in the event of a collision. The advanced safety features, combined with Kia's renowned build quality, position the new Carnival as one of the safest vehicles in its class.

Power and Performance

Under the hood, the new Kia Carnival is powered by a robust 2.2-litre diesel engine that delivers an impressive 192 PS and 441 Nm of torque. This engine is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission, ensuring smooth and responsive performance on the road. Whether it's city driving or long highway journeys, the Carnival's powerful engine and refined transmission make it a joy to drive.

Rivals and Market Position

In the Indian market, the 2024 Kia Carnival will face competition from other premium MPVs like the Toyota Innova Hycross, Toyota Innova Crysta, and the Maruti Invicto. However, with its luxurious features, advanced safety tech, and bold design, the new Carnival aims to carve out its own niche in the premium MPV segment. Additionally, the Carnival will serve as a more affordable alternative to ultra-luxury MPVs like the Toyota Vellfire and Lexus LM, making it an attractive option for buyers seeking luxury and practicality without the ultra-premium price tag.

Conclusion

As the launch of the 2024 Kia Carnival approaches, the excitement continues to build. With over 1,800 pre-orders on its first day alone, Kia's premium MPV is already making a strong statement in the market. Its combination of luxury, performance, and advanced technology, along with a competitive price point, positions the new Carnival as a game-changer in the segment. As customers eagerly await the official launch on 3 October 2024, the Carnival is poised to set new benchmarks in the Indian automotive industry.
