The SUV will make a comeback after almost five years when Renault India unveils the new-generation Duster on January 26, 2026. Renault is counting on the high brand recall of the original Duster, which was a pioneer in India's small SUV market, to make a triumphant comeback.
Platform and Design
Petrol and hybrid alternatives are made possible by the future model, which is built on the CMF-B platform. Anticipate a tougher appearance, Y-shaped LED DRLs, and a contemporary cabin featuring a floating touchscreen and digital display.
Powertrain Options
A 1.3-liter turbo-petrol engine will be the first to be introduced in India; a powerful hybrid version is anticipated in six to twelve months. Front-wheel drive and a CVT automatic transmission seem most likely, however, an AWD version might come later.
Timeline and Cost of Launch
By late 2025, production at the Renault-Nissan Chennai facility is expected to start. The anticipated price range (ex-showroom) is ₹10 lakh to ₹17 lakh.
Competition and Market Effects
The Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Grand Vitara, Honda Elevate, and the impending Skoda Kushaq facelift will all be competitors of the new Duster. Renault hopes to solidify its position in India's rapidly expanding SUV sector with its hybrid-ready layout and tough appeal.
