MG Hector Facelift Seen in Dealerships Prior to Release

Ahead of its formal premiere on December 15, 2025, the MG Hector facelift has been spotted at a dealership, providing the first glimpse of its striking new appearance. The SUV has a more upscale and commanding appearance thanks to its considerably larger chrome-rich grille, updated bumper components, and sharper lighting signature. The facelift is anticipated to maintain the reliable petrol and diesel engine options that have made the Hector a popular choice, in addition to minor interior improvements.

The revised SUV's front look is fully visible in leaked photos of the MG Hector facelift that were sighted at a dealership far in advance of its official debut date. The SUV now has a more eye-catching and upscale appearance than the previous model, thanks to the significantly larger and chrome-heavy front grille, which now has broad vertical sections arranged in a honeycomb design.

The well-known split LED headlamp and DRL configuration is still present, but the surrounds are sharper and more intricate. The updated Hector appears more aggressive on the road thanks to improved details and a redesigned chrome insert at the bottom of the front bumper.

What's Underneath and Inside the Vehicle

Reports and teasers suggest that MG is probably going to upgrade the infotainment system with a new interface, even though the interior wasn't entirely seen in the leaked photographs. The new model is anticipated to retain several of the well-liked convenience features, including the panoramic sunroof, powered-adjustable ventilated front seats, wireless phone charging, cruise control, and ambient lighting.

Strong protection and driver-assist technology, such as six airbags, electronic stability control, tire pressure monitoring, 360-degree video systems, hill hold assistance, and Level 2 ADAS capabilities, should be retained in the Hector facelift.

It is expected that purchasers will continue to be familiar with the powertrain. The SUV's 1.5-liter turbo-petrol and 2.0-liter diesel engines, which produce comparable power and torque to the departing model, are probably going to be kept.

For the gasoline version, a CVT and a six-speed manual transmission are anticipated.

Competition for Launch and Segment

The official debut of the Hector facelift, MG Motor India's second significant update since the SUV's initial arrival in India, is set for December 15, 2025. The redesigned Hector will compete in a crowded SUV market with competitors like the Tata Harrier, Tata Safari, and Mahindra Scorpio N when it launches. Its design modifications and technological advancements will draw in customers searching for an appealing mid-size SUV.
