As the Indian Automotive Industry witnesses a surge in the EV market, the collaboration between MG Motors and JSW cannot be overlooked. The highly awaited MG Cloud EV has been observed undergoing testing on Indian roads, which is a significant move in the country's electric vehicle (EV) market. In a recent press conference, MG Motor India revealed its intention to introduce a new model every three to six months, beginning with the holiday season later this year. For the first time, a new vehicle from the brand has been seen undergoing testing in India.
Details of Spy Shots:
The Wuling Cloud EV-based MG automobile for the Indian market is first shown to us in spy photos. Apart from the outline, there were a few distinguishable features that led us to assume that this is the Cloud EV despite the vehicle's extensive camouflage. It is set to be marketed under the newly formed JSW-MG branding, the electric vehicle has already made its mark in international markets as the Wuling Cloud EV in Indonesia and the Baojun Yunduo in China, and it is expected to make waves in the Indian automotive scene under the moniker MG Cloud EV.
A Compact MPV
According to reports, the electric compact MPV would have dimensions of 1,850 mm in width, 4,295 mm in length, and 1,652 mm in height when it debuts on the market. Up to five persons can probably fit in the automobile and enjoy a comfortable driving experience.
Expected Features
Leaked images have revealed that the new EV will feature LED treatments at both ends, with sleek daytime running lights (DRLs) and a trending connected taillight bar. This design choice adds a touch of modernity and sophistication to the vehicle, making it stand out on the road.
The EV also features a high roofline, complimented by flush-fitting door handles, making it look more futuristic.

Exterior and Interior
Spy images suggest that the vehicle might receive a heavy cladding treatment on the side, but the specifics of this design element are yet to be confirmed. This addition could add a rugged touch to the EV's appearance, making it appealing to those who seek a balance between style and practicality.
For the interior, spy images suggested a 3-spoke steering wheel and a robust 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster, housed by the large floating touchscreen infotainment system.
Powertrain
A 50.6kWh battery pack and an electric motor will be needed to power MG's Cloud EV-based product for India, which has a stated range of 505 km on a single full charge. The new model will compete with the BYD e6 when it launches.
