Mercedes-Benz Cars in India to Get Pricier in Two Phases by 2025

Mercedes-Benz India has announced a two-phase price hike for 2025, with increases beginning in June and followed by another in September. While input costs and forex pressures drive the hike, the company is introducing flexible financing options via Mercedes-Benz Financial Services to help buyers maintain steady EMI payments despite the increased car prices across its lineup.

Mercedes-Benz India has officially announced a price hike across its entire portfolio, citing rising input costs and adverse foreign exchange rates. The hike will be implemented in two phases—June and September 2025—giving prospective buyers time to prepare financially.

Breakdown of the Price Increase

June 2025 Hike

  • C-Class: Price will increase by ₹90,000

  • Mercedes-Maybach S 680: Price goes up by ₹12.2 lakh

September 2025 Hike:

  • A uniform 1.5% price increase across all models

The company emphasized that while costs for CBU (Completely Built-Up) units and components have surged, it has absorbed a large portion of the increase, passing only a marginal burden onto customers.

EMI Protection via Mercedes-Benz Financial Services

To ease the transition for buyers, Mercedes-Benz Financial Services will roll out innovative financing solutions. These tailored plans aim to:

  • Keep monthly EMIs unchanged

  • Help customers manage affordability despite price hikes

  • Offer more financial planning flexibility

This strategy not only cushions the financial impact for buyers but also encourages timely purchases ahead of further price escalations.

Why the Hike?

Mercedes-Benz attributes the rising costs to:

  • Increasing input and production costs

  • Foreign exchange fluctuations

  • Greater logistical and component-related expenses

While such challenges are global in nature, the Indian arm is trying to balance profitability with customer-centric pricing, hence the phased approach.

Final Thoughts

With its strategic two-phase pricing plan and thoughtful financing schemes, Mercedes-Benz India is signaling its intent to stay premium without alienating its customer base. Prospective buyers are encouraged to act early to avoid steeper costs later in the year while taking advantage of stable EMI options.
