Maruti's upcoming Electric MPV named YMC: Will use the eVX Skateboard platform

Maruti is all set to move ahead with its Electric journey with its eVX, which was showcased at Auto Expo 2023, the first Maruti compact electric MPV that will be launched by 2025. It is set to “electrify Indian roads” with its upcoming electric MPV, codenamed YMC. Maruti known for its innovation and commitment to sustainability, doesn’t just have one EV planned but rather three electric marvels in a row in upcoming years, marking a significant milestone in the evolution of the automotive industry. YMC's Codename and Launch Timeline

The upcoming YMC electric MPV is expected to begin production in September 2026, putting it extremely close to a possible launch in 2027. Maruti Suzuki's electric venture has gained more excitement due to rumors surrounding the internal codename of the YMC, even though the timeline is speculative.

YMC Details: Powertrain and Specifications

The YMC, which will be the sixth seven-seater in Maruti Suzuki's impressive MPV lineup, will be powered by the state-of-the-art 27PL skateboard platform.
