Mahindra Hikes Car Prices By Up To 2.7 Percent

Mahindra has raised prices across its combustion-engine line-up and one electric model, citing rising commodity costs. The hike, effective July 10, 2026, is the second such increase this year after a similar move in April, with the Bolero and XEV 9S recording the steepest jumps among their respective categories.

  • XEV 9S gets the steepest hike of Rs 70,000, the highest across the entire range
  • XUV 3XO EV, Scorpio N, BE 6 and XEV 9e remain untouched by the revision

Mahindra has increased prices across most of its portfolio by up to 2.7 percent, with the change coming into effect from today, July 10, 2026. The company has attributed the move to commodity cost escalations, a phrase that has become familiar across the industry this year as raw material and input costs continue to weigh on manufacturers. This marks the second such revision in 2026, following an earlier 2.5 percent increase that came into force in April.

Which Models Have Turned Costlier

Every combustion-engined Mahindra has gone up in price, with a single exception. The Scorpio N retains its earlier pricing, continuing to be offered between Rs 13.49 lakh and Rs 24.95 lakh. Elsewhere in the line-up, the Bolero has absorbed the largest base price increase among ICE models, rising by Rs 49,000. The Thar, Thar Roxx, Scorpio Classic, Bolero Neo and XUV 7XO have all seen more modest upward adjustments as well.

On the electric front, the picture is far steadier. Of Mahindra's EV range, only the XEV 9S has been repriced, and by a considerable margin. Its starting price now stands higher by Rs 70,000, making it the single biggest jump anywhere in the company's catalogue.

The XUV 3XO EV, BE 6 and XEV 9e have all been left unchanged, meaning buyers eyeing these models will not feel any pinch from this particular revision.

XEV 9S20.65 to 29.9519.95 to 29.45
XEV 9e21.90 to 30.5021.90 to 30.50

What This Means For Buyers

For anyone weighing up a Mahindra purchase in the coming weeks, the timing matters. Models that have escaped this round of hikes, such as the Scorpio N and the electric SUVs barring the XEV 9S, offer a brief window where pricing remains at April levels.

Given that this is already the second increase this year, it would not be surprising if further adjustments follow later in 2026 should input costs continue climbing. Buyers eyeing the Bolero or the range topping XEV 9S in particular may want to factor in the freshly revised figures before finalising their booking.
