Lamborghini Temerario Super Trofeo: The 2027 Season's Track-Ready Beast

With a sleeker look, improved aerodynamics, and a potent twin-turbo V8 engine devoid of any hybrid parts, the Lamborghini Temerario Super Trofeo represents the next development of the brand's one-make racing program. It was unveiled at the World Finals in Misano and aims to give privateer racers a more concentrated and competitive experience. When the new Super Trofeo makes its worldwide debut in 2027, it hopes to improve performance standards thanks to technologies taken from the GT3 version and a significant emphasis on lightweight engineering.

  • The newest Lamborghini single-make race car, the Temerario Super Trofeo concept, will make its competitive debut in Asia, Europe, and North America during the 2027 season.

  • It is a pure track-focused evolution rather than a road-car hybrid, with a non-hybrid twin-turbo V8, rear-wheel drive layout, and several parts taken from the Temerario GT3.

The Temerario Super Trofeo, Lamborghini's newest race vehicle, was unveiled during the World Finals weekend at the Marco Simoncelli World Circuit in Misano. In 2027, this vehicle will compete across several countries in the Lamborghini Super Trofeo series, the brand's one-make championship.

Legacy and the Development of Series

Since its launch in 2009, Lamborghini's Super Trofeo series has expanded to include more than 560 races and over 1,300 drivers worldwide.

The Huracán Super Trofeo, which went through three incarnations before being replaced by the new Temerario Super Trofeo, is the sixth model in the range.

Underneath the Skin, Layout, and Powertrain

This racing car uses a pure internal combustion engine instead of hybrid assistance, in contrast to many contemporary Lamborghinis. Only the back wheels are driven by a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine that generates about 641 horsepower (or 650 CV).

It sports an ALU/CFK hybrid chassis, a full FIA roll cage, ABS, a 12-stage traction control system, and a six-speed sequential gearbox (shared with the Temerario GT3).

Technology & Design Highlights

With enormous front splitters, side channels, a big rear wing, full-track bodywork, and lightweight windows, aerodynamics are advanced beyond anything seen before.

Dinamica Infinity, the world's first 100% PES mono-component non-woven suede for automotive applications, is another novel interior material that the vehicle introduces.

The Bigger Picture for Teams and Racers

This vehicle is a clear statement of intent for Lamborghini's client racing division, Lamborghini Squadra Corse: providing private teams and gentleman drivers with a pure, track-only vehicle that uses shared architecture to bridge the gap to higher-level GT3 racing.

Lamborghini appeals to aficionados who want unadulterated racing dynamics by eliminating hybrid complexity and focusing on RWD dynamics.

Upcoming Schedule & Prospects

Starting in 2027, the Temerario Super Trofeo is scheduled to compete in the Super Trofeo championships in North America, Europe, and Asia.

Although track performance is currently the main focus, some anticipate a road-going derivative or special edition due to its close relationship to the GT3 car.
