Automobili Lamborghini has officially unveiled the all-new Temerario sports car at the 2024 Monterey Car Week, marking a significant evolution in the brand's lineup. As the spiritual successor to the iconic Huracan, the Temerario introduces a cutting-edge hybrid V8 powertrain, departing from the traditional V10 engine. This model represents a new chapter for Lamborghini, combining advanced technology with the brand's signature aggressive styling.
Freshly produced at the Sant'Agata Bolognese factory, the Lamborghini Temerario continues the tradition of being named after a famous fighting bull, a nod to the brand's heritage. The design of the Temerario features Lamborghini's iconic hexagon-shaped elements, evident in the DRLs and LED taillights, giving the car a modern yet distinctly Lamborghini appearance.
Design
The Lamborghini Temerario boasts a cleaner, more streamlined front fascia, highlighted by LED DRLs positioned on either side. The front bumper is adorned with slanting inserts, projector fog lights, and horizontal fins, all surrounding the central Lamborghini crest. The dual pod LED headlamps add a sleek and futuristic touch to the front end.
The side profile of the Temerario retains Lamborghini's iconic wedge-shaped silhouette, with a triangular insert above the hexagon-shaped fuel cap. A glossy black slat runs across the rear fender, while the "Temerario" badge is proudly displayed on the side sill. The car sits on a new set of 20-inch alloy wheels, complete with contrast-colored brake calipers.
At the rear, the Temerario features a centrally mounted exhaust with twin pipes, hexagon-shaped LED tail lights, and an integrated ducktail spoiler. A massive carbon-fiber diffuser dominates the lower rear, complemented by a minimalistic bumper that highlights the car's chunky rear tires.
Interior
Inside, the Lamborghini Temerario continues the brand's tradition of luxury and performance. The new steering wheel, inspired by Lamborghini's racing cars, features a red-crowned dial for controlling drive modes, along with numerous other buttons, including one for launch control.
The passenger seat comes with its own 9.1-inch screen, mimicking the driver’s display, while the center console houses an 8.4-inch vertically positioned touchscreen infotainment system powered by Lamborghini's latest Human-Machine Interface (HMI). As always, Lamborghini offers a wide range of optional features, including carbon-fiber inserts and extensive customization options through its Ad Personam division.
Engine
The heart of the 2024 Lamborghini Temerario is a powerful 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine, paired with a 3.8kWh battery pack and three electric motors. This hybrid setup delivers a combined output of 907bhp. The internal combustion engine alone produces 789bhp, with a peak torque of 730Nm between 4,000-7,000rpm, and can rev up to 10,000rpm. The electric powertrain adds an additional 295bhp, driving the front wheels and creating a 4WD configuration. An eight-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT) manages the power delivery, ensuring the Temerario delivers both performance and efficiency.
With its bold new design, hybrid powertrain, and advanced features, the Lamborghini Temerario sets a new standard for the brand, continuing Lamborghini's legacy of innovation and excellence in the world of high-performance sports cars.
