Kia Syros Kias New Compact Suv Unveiled In India

Kia Syros: Kia's New Compact SUV Unveiled in India

Kia has unveiled its latest compact SUV, the Syros, in India. This new model fits between the smaller Sonet and the larger Seltos in Kia's lineup, aiming to attract buyers seeking a blend of style, technology, and performance.

Modern Design and Features

The Syros showcases Kia's updated design approach, drawing inspiration from models like the EV9. It features a bold front with vertically stacked LED headlights and unique daytime running lights.

The side profile includes flush door handles and 17-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, while the rear is highlighted by L-shaped LED tail lights, giving the SUV a contemporary and robust appearance.

Inside, the Syros offers a spacious cabin with dual 12.3-inch screens that serve as the instrument cluster and infotainment system. The SUV includes a panoramic sunroof, ventilated front and rear seats, wireless charging, and a premium Harman Kardon sound system.

Additionally, it supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, ensuring seamless smartphone connectivity.

Safety and Technology

Kia has prioritized safety in the Syros by providing six airbags as standard across all variants. The SUV also features a 360-degree camera for better maneuverability and Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), which include functions like adaptive cruise control and lane-keeping assist. These technologies work together to enhance driver and passenger safety.

Engine Options and Performance

The Syros comes with two engine choices. The first is a 1.0-liter turbocharged petrol engine producing 120 PS of power and 172 Nm of torque, available with either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

The second option is a 1.5-liter diesel engine delivering 116 PS and 250 Nm of torque, paired with a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission. This variety allows buyers to select a model that best suits their driving preferences.

Booking and Availability

Kia plans to open bookings for the Syros on January 3, 2025, with the official launch and price announcement expected during the Bharat Mobility Show later that month. Deliveries are scheduled to begin in February 2025.

The Syros will be available in six variants: HTK, HTK (O), HTK Plus, HTX, HTX Plus, and HTX Plus (O), offering a range of features to cater to different customer needs.

In summary, With the introduction of the Syros, Kia aims to strengthen its presence in the competitive compact SUV segment in India. By combining modern design, advanced technology, and versatile engine options, the Syros is poised to appeal to a broad spectrum of buyers looking for a stylish and feature-rich vehicle.
