Kia has pulled the plug on the Carnival, the company has taken down the vehicle from its product portfolio on the official website and stopped accepting orders for the same. The Kia Carnival was launched in 2020 as a premium MPV offering from the company with prices starting from Rs. 30.99 lakh for the base model and the top model for Rs. 35.49 lakh. It was offered in three variants: Prestige, Limousine, and Limousine Plus.
A 2.2-litre diesel engine powered the Kia Carnival mated to an eight-speed automatic gearbox that belted out 197 bhp of power and 440 Nm of peak torque on the front wheels. The feature list on the Kia Carnival included multi-zone climate control, a Harman Kardon audio system, a wireless charger, a powered tailgate, ventilated driver seat, a sunroof, an eight-inch touchscreen infotainment unit, and a 10.1-inch touchscreen for passengers to name a few.
The company showcased the fourth-gen Carnival under the Kia KA4 nametag at the 2023 Auto Expo that could be powered by a hybrid powertrain in international markets. With the removal of the Carnival, the Kia cars now has four models on offer: EV6, Carens, Sonnet, and the Seltos. The Kia Seltos facelift is all set for its launch on July 4.
