Kia Carens Gets Power Boost and Added Features in Latest Launch

In its latest launch, the Kia Carens receives a power boost and additional features, elevating the driving experience. The upgraded model boasts enhanced performance, making it even more appealing to enthusiasts. Alongside the power upgrade, Kia has incorporated new features, enriching the overall driving and ownership experience. The combination of increased power and added features positions the Kia Carens as a competitive choice in its segment, catering to drivers seeking both performance and advanced amenities in a versatile package.

The Kia Carens model has undergone considerable upgrades, including a new 160PS 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine and a six-speed iMT transmission. Moreover, an iMT gearbox is now included with the diesel engine. Nevertheless, manual transmissions are no longer offered with either diesel or turbo-petrol engines. The redesigned Carens also features built-in Alexa connectivity and a standard 12.5-inch digitised instrument cluster. With these changes, the Carens' price has increased from Rs. 10.45 to Rs. 18.95. (ex-showroom).

The Carens MPV from Kia has been updated with new powertrains, transmissions, and other features as standard. The new version replaces the former 1.4-litre turbo-petrol engine with a 160PS 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine and a new iMT transmission. The Carens has priced between Rs. 10.45 lakh and Rs. 18.95 lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi), with all Turbo model variations except the base Premium seeing a price hike of Rs. 50,000.

With an iMT transmission option and a 1.5-litre engine that complies with BS6 Phase 2, Kia has revised its Carens diesel models. The diesel automatic combo offers only the top-spec Luxury Plus option, which costs between Rs 18.90 and Rs 18.95 lakh and includes a Rs 50,000 surcharge for BS6 Phase 2 compliance. The pricing difference between the diesel manual trims and the iMT variants is Rs 50,000.

More features are now standard on the Kia Carens MPV, including a 12.5-inch digitised instrument display and built-in Alexa connection. The higher-end Luxury trim also has a leather-wrapped gear knob, but the Prestige Plus trim also has it. The Carens also provides several high-end features, such as a 10.25-inch touchscreen, cruise control, electric second-row seats that can be folded down with just one touch, an electric sunroof, ventilated front seats, six airbags, and a rear parking camera. The Carens is positioned as a high-end alternative to other MPVs, including the Toyota Innova Crysta and some models of the Maruti Ertiga, and the XL6 and XL6.
