The Harrier receives its first gasoline engine, which provides powerful output and elegant performance.
The SUV gains high-end features and technological advancements with a new Fearless Ultra trim.
Tata Motors has expanded the appeal of the Tata Harrier in the Indian SUV market by finally releasing a petrol version of the vehicle. The Harrier was only offered with a diesel engine up until this point, but the new petrol model closes a gap for consumers looking for a petrol option in this market.
The choice reflects shifting consumer tastes, particularly among urban drivers who frequently place a higher value on quiet operation and seamless performance.
The New 1.5-Litre Turbo Petrol Engine, the SUV's heart
Tata's new 1.5-liter turbocharged petrol engine powers the redesigned Harrier. With 170 PS of power and 280 Nm of torque, figures that are competitive with diesel equivalents, this turbocharged gasoline engine has been specially developed for the Harrier (as well as the Safari SUV). Customers have a choice between the engine and a six-speed torque-converter automatic or a six-speed manual gearbox.
Fearless Ultra, Feature-Packed Top Trim
Tata has unveiled the Fearless Ultra as the new top-tier Harrier model, in addition to the gasoline engine. The SUV seems more opulent and technologically advanced in this flagship version thanks to a number of high-end enhancements.
A larger 14.5-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Dolby Atmos compatibility, memory-enabled and auto-dip outside mirrors, faster USB-C charging connections, a digital rear-view mirror inside, and improved Level 2 ADAS safety systems are among the highlights.
Exclusive stylistic options, such as various paint editions that add a sportier appeal, also enhance the Fearless Ultra's appearance.
More Technology and Comfort for Passengers and Drivers
The petrol Harrier gains from well-considered improvements across the cabin in addition to the standout features. The previously fixed center armrest now has a new sliding mechanism for improved ergonomics, and the front and rear cameras have washer functionality. These improvements demonstrate Tata's desire to improve the SUV's general comfort and daily usability.
What This Signifies for Buyers
The new engine, premium ‘Fearless Ultra’ variant, and extensive technological changes make this launch a significant advancement of the Harrier tale, even though costs for the petrol Harrier have not yet been disclosed.
Tata Motors is positioning the Harrier to appeal to a wider range of SUV purchasers in India by providing a sophisticated petrol option with contemporary amenities.
