Jeep Wrangler Facelift To Debut On 22 April Details Revealed Ahead Of Launch

JEEP Wrangler Facelift to debut on 22 April: Details Revealed Ahead of Launch

This car had already made its debut in the International Market but the most awaited period when it will be launched in India has arrived. It is reported that it will feature a subtle makeover and more creature comforts while remaining mechanically the same.

On April 22, 2024, the Italian-American company will introduce the off-roading beast in a new guise. In India, the Wrangler may currently be purchased as a locally built CKD import. The upgrade includes new functionality and a redesigned look for the 2024 Wrangler.

Exterior Design Updates:

The exterior updates on the new Wrangler include an all-black grille and new alloy wheel designs, along with the Gorilla glass windshield ( 17-inch for the Rubicon and 18-inch for the Unlimited). Additionally, it had launched with five color options – Bright White, Sting Grey, Granite Crystal, Black, and Firecracker Red. Furthermore, a variety of roof options are offered, such as the conventional soft top, a black hard top, a body-colored hard top, a hybrid hard and soft top, a Sunrider top that only opens for the front passengers, and a dual-door group with half doors. However, just a limited number of alloy wheel and roof options are probably going to be available for the India-spec vehicle.

Interior Highlights:

As far as the interior is concerned, it is the same as the previous model with some of the major highlights as new 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment that runs on Jeep’s latest Uconnect 5 operating system; the larger screen means the central air vents are slim units that sit below the screen. Jeep has also added kits such as 12-way power-adjustable front seats and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Features and Safety Facilities:

The updated features include wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, dual-zone climate control, 12-way power front seats, and a new semi-digital instrument panel to name a few.

Safety Features include Six airbags, electronic stability control, hill start aid, hill descent control, electronic roll mitigation, automated headlights, a tire pressure monitor, and rear parking sensors and camera

Powertrain Update:

The 2024 Wrangler for India is likely to be powered by the 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine that produces 270hp and 400Nm of peak torque. The unit is mated to an 8-speed torque convertor automatic and Jeep’s Selec-Trac full-time 4WD system (a low-range transfer case with Jeep’s Selec-Trac full-time AWD system as standard).

Jeep Wrangler Expected Price and Rivals:

It is known that the current Wrangler Unlimited and Rubicon are priced at Rs 62.65 lakh and Rs 66.65 lakh, respectively, thus we can expect that the facelift will be priced a little higher following the earlier models. While the SUV does not have any direct rivals in India, the Land Rover Defender 110 (Rs 97 lakh-2.35 crore), is the closest competitor.
