- Eight models, spanning hatchbacks, midsize SUVs, a premium pickup and a performance SUV, are lined up for India through July 2026
- The Maruti Suzuki Brezza's mid-life update and the Nissan Tekton's confirmed debut are the two biggest stories of the month
India's car market has barely caught its breath after a busy June, and July 2026 already looks set to be even busier.
Over the coming weeks, showrooms across the country will welcome everything from a revived electric SUV nameplate to a thoroughly updated compact SUV, a performance focused imported SUV and a new generation pickup truck.
A few of these launches have been officially confirmed by their respective manufacturers, while others are still based on dealer sources, spy shots and teaser campaigns, so that distinction is worth keeping in mind while reading through the list.

Renault Kwid: July 03
The Renault Kwid is due its second facelift on 3 July 2026, with expected updates including Y shaped LED daytime running lamps, new bumpers, six airbags as standard, a bigger touchscreen and a new steering wheel, while the existing 1.0 litre petrol engine is likely to continue. A modest price increase over the current ₹4.30 lakh to ₹5.88 lakh range is expected.
Nissan Tekton: July 09
The Nissan Tekton, the brand's answer to the Renault Duster, has its world premiere officially confirmed for 9 July 2026, making it the most firmly dated launch on this list. Teasers so far have revealed LED headlights, pull type door handles, multi spoke alloy wheels and C shaped tail lights.
Power is expected to come from a 100hp, 166Nm 1.0 litre turbo petrol and a 163hp, 280Nm 1.3 litre turbo petrol, with a six speed manual on both and a seven speed dual clutch automatic limited to the more powerful engine.
Pricing is likely to track closely with the Duster, which spans roughly ₹11 lakh to ₹18 lakh, putting the Tekton in contention against the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Skoda Kushaq and Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara.
MG New Energy SUV: July 16
JSW MG Motor's new SUV, reported to debut around 16 July 2026, appears to be a rebadged version of the Wuling Starlight 560, a seven seat SUV offered abroad in plug-in hybrid and fully electric forms, with the hybrid variant claiming over 1,000km of combined range.
Maruti Suzuki Brezza: July 23
The Brezza, which has crossed 14 lakh cumulative sales since launch, is in line for its first comprehensive update since the second generation model arrived in 2022, with the refreshed version reportedly arriving on 23 July 2026. The update is expected to help the SUV stay competitive against rivals such as the Tata Nexon and Hyundai Venue.
With several additions, the updated Brezza is likely to carry a modest premium over the outgoing model, which is currently priced from around ₹8.26 lakh to ₹12.86 lakh, ex-showroom.
Ninth Generation Toyota Hilux: July
Toyota is set to bring the all new, ninth generation Hilux to India this month, just eight months after the pickup's global unveiling in November 2025. The outgoing model, on sale here for over four years and currently priced between roughly ₹28.52 lakh and ₹36 lakh, will be replaced by a version with extensive mechanical and feature upgrades, expected to command a notable premium.
Honda ZR-V: July
Honda's ZR-V hybrid SUV, already open for pre-booking, is expected to launch as a fully imported model, powered by a 2.0 litre petrol hybrid setup producing a combined 184hp and 315Nm.
Skoda Kodiaq RS: July
Meanwhile, Skoda's Kodiaq RS, whose first batch of units in India has already sold out ahead of its price announcement, brings a retuned 2.0 litre turbo petrol engine with 265hp and 400Nm, a seven speed dual clutch gearbox and all wheel drive, with pricing expected between ₹60 lakh and ₹65 lakh.
What This Means for Buyers
With launches spanning hatchbacks, compact SUVs, midsize SUVs, a performance SUV and a body on frame pickup, July 2026 offers Indian buyers an unusually wide spread of choices across nearly every price bracket.
That said, only the Nissan Tekton's world premiere carries firm, official confirmation at this stage, while the Toyota Hilux's arrival has been confirmed through dealer sources and the rest remain based on industry reports and spy shots, with some details, such as the Brezza's exact engine line-up, still varying between sources.
Prospective buyers would do well to wait for official manufacturer announcements before making final purchase decisions.
