Hyundai India will launch the Exter SUV in India on July 10 2023. Hyundai has already showcased some of the Exter's design, unveiled its powertrain options, and highlighted a few features. Positioned below the Venue, the Exter is Hyundai's smallest SUV offering for the Indian market.
The Exter mini SUV is in high demand, and dealers anticipate the first deliveries in the third or fourth week of July. Most consumers have selected the Exter's higher trim levels, notably choosing the automatic transmission. Dealers foresee bookings and variation preferences changes when costs are disclosed, as consumers frequently alter their selections to fit their financial limitations.
The 1.2-litre petrol engine in the Exter SUV will also come with a CNG option. Customers can choose a five-speed manual gearbox or an AMT automatic for the petrol type. However, the CNG variant only comes with a manual gearbox. The Hyundai Grand i10, Nios, and Aura all use the same platform as the Exter. Five trim levels will be available: EX, S, SX, SX(O), and the highest-spec SX(O) Connect. Six airbags will be standard on all trims, while pricier models will have extra distinctive features like dual cameras and a single-pane sunroof.
Hyundai has teased the Exter with brief views, but prior spy images have previously shown the Exter's complete design. The Exter exhibits boxy proportions with split headlamps, an upright nose, and a tailboard with a slightly inclined rear glass area.
Hyundai's smallest SUV profile shows thick cladding covering round, slightly flared wheel arches. Styled dual-tone alloy wheels, roof rails, a textured C-pillar finish, and dual-tone paint choices that simulate a floating roof are just a few notable external features. Hyundai has not yet made any interior Exter information public.
The Tata Punch and the Citroen C3 are Exter's principal competitors. Even if the Exter's costs have yet to be announced, one thing is for sure that the mini SUV will outperform its rivals in terms of the features and equipment it provides.
