Hyundai Creta Electric: A Game-Changer in India’s EV Market

Hyundai Creta Electric is a key addition to the Hyundai EV portfolio in India. Planned to be launched during the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, it comes with premier Technology solutions, superior range potential and current safety features that will put it within a much comparable level of its EV counterparts.

Hyundai is contingent to stir India’s EV sector very soon with one of its most eagerly expected Hyundai Creta Electric. As Hyundai moves to electrify one of the country’s most-loved SUVs, it can use the Creta as a magnet to gain a foothold in the electric vehicle market. To be revealed at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, this electric SUV will compete with models such as the BE 6, Curvv EV, and e Vitara SUVs.

Well, lucky for you, here is all you ought to know.

Futuristic Yet Familiar Design

The Hyundai Creta Electric is not exactly new, as it continues much of the ICE car’s design mantra but with some contemporary tweaks. It carries Hyundai’s global Pixel design language. The pixelated graphic grille doubles up as the charging port. The rear bumper and LED tail lamps also get the pixelated design treatment for a sleek and classy look.

It has evolved its design with respect to aerodynamics; Active Air Flaps (AAF) assist in providing necessary air for cooling crucial parts. The stylish 17-inch Aero Alloy wheels and low-resistance tyres contribute to the car’s improved efficiency and better mile range.

Two Variants, Impressive Range

Hyundai has revealed two battery options for the Creta Electric:

  • 42 kWh variant: Yields a maximum range of 390 kilometres with all the battery power it is endowed with.

  • 51.4 kWh variant: Proton Holden sets a very strong figure with a voracity of 473 km.

It will come with four grades: Executive, Smart, Premium, and Excellence with eight monochrome and 2 two-tone colours as well as three matte colours.

Advanced Interior and Tech

In this one, the cabin has a leatherette treatment in the dashboard area and has an interesting twin-screen setup for both the instruments and the centre console touchscreen controls.

Panasonic-jointedly developed Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, the twin-spoke steering wheel, and Hyundai’s original V2L technology make it very useful. Integrated i-Pedal technology offers a drive-by-wire hybrid system, and adds one-pedal driving, improving the city and country runabout or long journeys.

Safety and Charging Excellence

There is also an intense focus on safety with 52 standard safety features which include: 6 Airbags, ISOFIX, and All-wheel disc brakes. Select trims come with 75 safety features including a surround view monitor, blind spot view monitor, and Level 2 advanced driver assistance systems including Lane Keeping Assist and Smart Cruise Control.

Regarding charging, Hyundai reports that the Creta Electric takes four hours from flat to fully charged using an 11 kW Smart Connected wall box power. DC fast charging allows a car to charge from 10% to 80% in 58 minutes.

As Hyundai prepares for the Creta Electric, let me state that this SUV will offer a combination of new features, mileage, and protection that will recreate the Indian market’s terms for EVs.
