The Hyundai Creta sold 16,293 units in June 2024, marking an 11.12 percent growth from May 2024. Despite this impressive month-on-month (MoM) increase, its market share slightly dropped by 1.6 percent compared to the previous year. Maruti Grand Vitara Faces a Mixed Bag
The Maruti Grand Vitara, another strong contender in the compact SUV segment, sold 9,679 units in June 2024. While this represents a slight decline of 0.58 percent from May 2024, the year-on-year (YoY) market share fell significantly by 6.22 percent. Kia Seltos and Toyota Hyryder's Performance
The Kia Seltos experienced a decrease in sales, with 6,306 units sold in June 2024, a 6.38 percent drop from May 2024. However, its YoY market share increased by nearly 5 percent, indicating growing consumer interest over the past year.
The Toyota Hyryder, sibling to the Grand Vitara, surpassed the 4,000-unit sales milestone in June 2024, with a MoM growth of 9.44 percent. Its market share for the month was slightly over 10 percent, reflecting its steady rise in popularity.
Honda Elevate's Impressive Growth
Honda's new entrant, the Elevate, showed remarkable growth in June 2024. With 2,151 units sold, it saw a 38.5 percent MoM increase. This notable performance highlights the Elevate's potential to become a significant player in the compact SUV market.
Volkswagen Taigun and Skoda Kushaq's Sales Trends
The Volkswagen Taigun sold 1,519 units in June 2024, reflecting a 2.69 percent decline from May 2024. Despite this decrease, the Taigun remained a competitive option in the segment. Meanwhile, the Skoda Kushaq saw a modest 3.54 percent MoM growth, with sales reaching 1,198 units. Both models continue to maintain a steady presence in the market.
MG Astor and Citroen C3 Aircross's Market Presence
The MG Astor's sales dropped by 5.34 percent in June 2024, with just 938 units sold. Its market share stood at a little over 2 percent, indicating a need for improvement to capture more market interest.
The Citroen C3 Aircross found itself at the bottom of the sales chart, with only 136 units sold in June 2024. Despite its low numbers, this was an 8.8 percent increase from May 2024, showing slight but positive progress.
