New Honda SP 160 Launched For Starting Price Of Rs. 1.17 Lakh (Ex-Showroom)
Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) has launched the all new SP 160 in two variants - Single Disc and Dual Disc, the former costs Rs. 1.17 lakh and the latter will cost Rs. 1.21 lakh, both prices are ex-showoroom. It is available in six colour options - Matte Dark Blue Metallic, Pearl Spartan Red, Matte Axis Gray Metallic, Pearl Ignite Black, Matte Marvel Blue Metallic, and Pearl Deep Ground Gray.
At the heart Honda SP 160 has a 162.71-cc, single-cylinder, four-stroke engine that comes mated to a five-speed gearbox. The engine produces 13 bhp of power at 7,500 rpm and 14.58 Nm of peak torque at 5,500 rpm.
The bike wears 17-inch wheels on both ends with a 276 mm disc brake up front and a 220 mm at the rear (130 mm drum). Suspension duties are done by a telescopic unit upo front and a monoshock at the rear.
The SP 160 is 2,061 mm long, 786 mm wide, 1,113 mm tall and has a wheelbase of 1,347 mm with a ground clearance of 117 mm. The seat height is 796 mm and the length of the seat is 594 mm with a 12-litre fuel tank. The single disc variant weighs 139 kg and the dual disc variant tips the scales at 141 kg.
The bike rivals the likes of the Yamaha FZ, Suzuki Gixxer, Pulsar P150, and TVS Apache RTR 160 2V to name a few.
