Byd Seal Facelift Breaks Cover

BYD Seal Facelift Breaks Cover!

BYD, the renowned Chinese carmaker, has introduced an updated version of its all-electric Seal sedan in its home market. The new facelift brings significant advancements. These include faster charging capabilities, enhanced architecture, and both exterior and interior upgrades.

Tech Upgrades: Faster Charging with 800V Architecture

One of the most notable changes in the updated BYD Seal is its alignment with the new 800V architecture. This is a significant upgrade from the previous 400V system. This new architecture, known as 'e-Platform 3.0 Evo' dramatically improves the charging speed of Seal. The battery can charge 10 to 80 percent in just 25 minutes. This is compared to 37 minutes with older architecture.

Internationally, the BYD Seal has two battery pack options: a 61.44kWh unit and an 80.64kWh unit. These provide a claimed driving range of up to 700 kilometers on a single charge. This makes Seal a competitive option in the electric sedan market.

Design Enhancements: Sleeker & More Modern

The exterior design of the new BYD Seal has received subtle yet impactful updates. These include a new exterior paint option. Redesigned alloy wheels also feature along with a contrasting BYD logo on the tailgate. However, the most significant design enhancement comes in the form of a LiDAR sensor mounted on the roof. This significantly improves the car's Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) capabilities

Interior Updates: Modern & Refined

Inside BYD Seal facelift boasts several upgrades to enhance the driving experience. The sedan features a new four-spoke steering wheel. It has redesigned AC vents and a slightly tweaked dashboard layout. These updates contribute to a more modern and refined cabin. This ensures that Seal remains competitive in the rapidly evolving electric vehicle market

India Launch Timeline

The BYD Seal was originally launched in India in March 2024. With these new updates, we can expect a facelifted version to arrive in the Indian market by 2025. It will bring with it all the enhanced features and technological improvements.

This refreshed BYD Seal is a clear indication of the brand's commitment to innovation. It shows their intent to stay ahead in the electric vehicle market. With faster charging, improved ADAS capabilities, and modern design tweaks Seal is set to continue its success both in China and internationally.
