Audi Announces Price Hike For Cars In India Effective June 2024

Audi Announces Price Hike for Cars in India Effective June 2024

Luxury car enthusiasts in India may need to brace themselves for an increase in prices, as German automaker Audi has revealed plans for a second price hike in 2024. Set to take effect from June 1, 2024, this price revision will encompass Audi's entire portfolio in India, including its lineup of electric vehicles (EVs).

Quantum & Reasons for the Price Hike:

Audi has disclosed that its vehicles will undergo a price adjustment of up to 2 per cent, although the extent of the hike may vary across different models. The rationale behind this decision lies in the escalating input and transportation costs, which the company intends to pass on to consumers in a phased manner.

In a statement addressing the price hike, Mr Balbir Singh Dhillon, Head of Audi India, emphasized the necessity of the adjustment. He stated, "Rising input costs are compelling us to increase prices by up to 2% effective June 01, 2024. The price correction aims to ensure sustainable growth for Audi India and our Dealer partners. As always, it's our endeavour that the impact of rising costs is as minimal as possible for our customers.”

Looking ahead, the company is poised to expand its electric vehicle offerings with the introduction of the Audi Q6 e-tron, a new electric SUV. This forthcoming addition underscores Audi's commitment to the burgeoning EV segment in the Indian market.

As Audi gears up for the implementation of the price hike, prospective buyers and enthusiasts may be evaluating their options amidst the evolving landscape of luxury car ownership in India. Stay tuned for further updates as Audi continues to navigate the dynamic automotive market with its premium offerings.
