Mahindra recently released XUV 3XO has been getting a lot of attention due, to its design and impressive features. It is going head to head with the Kia Sonet facelift set to debut in 2024 and the XUV 3XO comes out on top with advantages over its competitors. Here are some key reasons why it stands out against the base model Kia Sonet in India;
Leading Performance in Its Segmen: Both the Mahindra XUV 3XO and the Kia Sonet offer three engine choices, including a petrol engine, a turbocharged petrol unit, and a diesel engine. However, the XUV 3XO excels over the Sonet, in terms of performance boasting specifications.
Panoramic Sunroof: Being the first sub-4m SUV in its class with a panoramic sunroof makes the XUV 3XO stand out. Conversely, rival models such as the Kia Sonet are limited to a single-pane sunroof. Sunroof fans will find the XUV 3XO to be a more appealing option as a result. Additionally, the XUV 3XO has high-end features like soft-touch materials that improve the ambiance of the cabin as a whole.
Dual Zone Air Conditioning: One standout feature of the XUV 3XO is its dual zone climate control system, a feature that was already present, in the XUV300 before its facelift. While typically found in compact SUVs Mahindra is unique in offering this feature in the sub 4 million market segment. Interestingly this particular function is not available in the Kia Sonet facelift model.
Electronic Parking Brake: The XUV 3XO cleverly incorporates a parking brake of the traditional mechanical handbrake. This not adds a touch of convenience. Also contributes to the cars luxurious interior design. Additionally it makes operation easier by eliminating the need, for effort when engaging or releasing the brake mechanism.
- Cruise control that adapts: Mahindra introduces advanced driving assistance systems (ADAS) in the sub-4 million SUV sector, setting new standards. The XUV 3XO's safety suite includes adaptive cruise control, which sets it apart from its rivals. Even when cruise control is activated, this technology maintains a safe distance from the front car by automatically modifying the SUV's speed.
These are the models that offer the most benefits over the Kia Sonet, despite the XUV 3XO being somewhat more expensive than its top-end versions. Before making a choice, potential purchasers should weigh their desired characteristics. The XUV 3XO is priced between Rs 7.49 lakh and Rs 15.49 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), while the Sonet is priced between Rs 7.99 lakh and Rs 15.75 lakh.
