4 Incredible Electric Compact SUVs that are coming soon

Upcoming Electric SUVs: The electric compact SUV market in India is heating up, as four big EVs will enter the market shortly. Tata, Mahindra, Kia, and Hyundai are gearing up to bring many thrilling deals at varying price bands, with vast coverage of range, features and appearance, to fit a first-timer as well as the premium EV consumer shop.

Four new compact electric SUVs are lined up to be introduced in the Indian market, which is reeling with anticipation. There are several upcoming EVs at various price points and abilities that will find a consumer in not only low-end purchasers of the EVs but also in tech-savvy urban users seeking feature-rich crossovers.

So, what will each of these electric SUVs offer, and at what point in time can we see them in the streets?

Tata Punch EV Facelift -October 2025

One of the most successful compact electric vehicles in the market is the Tata Motors Punch EV, which is also under preparation for a mid-to-life update. The facelift is projected to launch in October 2025 and could receive the 45kWh battery of the Nexon EV, giving it an alleged range of 489km.

They had the possibility of a performance bump as the EV is estimated at some 145 bhp and 215Nm of torque. There will also be the new features on the inside such as bigger touchscreen, high-fidelity sound system, powered seats, and newly upholstered front.

Mahindra XUV3XO EV – Launch Around August–September 2025

The Mahindra XUV3XO EV will be the next one and has been seen on the test regime numerous times already. However, the specific launch date remains a secret, but most probably, the game might be released between August 2025 and September 2025.

The electric SUV will have two battery pack sizes available: 35kWh and 39.4kWh with a speculated range of 350km and 450km. Mahindra can also distinguish in the EV version some design guidelines and interior modifications, peculiar to electric mobility.

Kia Syros EV will be known as the global variant, launching February 2026

The Syros EV will be the first compact electric SUV by Kia in India and should be introduced at the beginning of 2026. The powertrains have not been officially verified yet, but it is possible that the Syros EV will be powered by the same as the Hyundai Inster EV (four powertrains will be available, 42kWh and 49kWh batteries). Its exterior design is likely to be characterized by a sealed grille, special EV badges and aero-enhanced alloy wheels.

Hyundai Inster EV- Premium compact EV in mid 2026

The list can be concluded with the Hyundai Inster EV that will probably appear in 2026. The luxury electric crossover would share the same market with the Tata Punch EV and Mahindra XUV3XO EV, but with a ton more technologies onboard.

It will be equipped with 42kWh and 49kWh batteries in the Indian version, with a range of 300km- 355km. It will be distinguishable by features as ADAS, 360-degree camera, dual screens, and state-of-the-art connectivity options.

These four EVs will transform the compact SUV market in India and provide consumers with extensive options in terms of the needs of the multivariate, budget and lifestyle.
