Kia June 2025 Sales India – Carens Secures the Top Seller Spot

Integrating its performance in June 2025, Kia India closed the month with mixed sales on the back of 3% YoY and 8% MoM decline in volumes. Though Carens recorded a healthy growth, the other models, such as Sonet and Seltos did not perform. The new Syros has been on a bumpy ride with a surprising slump in growth rates, partly due to the move to electric mobility by the company.

The sales graph of Kia India in June 2025 can be termed as a miscellaneous collection of outcomes. The firm recorded 20,625 units, a 3 percent decrease in year-to-year work compared to 21,300 units in June 2024 and an 8 percent drop in a month-to-month work compared to 22,315 units in May 2025.

There was, however, one exception to the trend, one model which had grown exceptionally and was the best seller of the brand, the Kia Carens.

Carens Records Outstanding Growth; Clavis EV to Increase The Pace

Kia Carens, however, flew off the shelves in June 2025 with 7,921 units sold, an increase of 54 percent year-on-year compared to 5154 units last year.

The sequential growth was more dramatic, an increase of 75 per cent of the 4,524 units in May. Not only did this new growth cement the status of the Carens as the best-selling model of Kia, but it also paved the way for the Carens Clavis EV, the first 7-seater electric multipurpose vehicle in India, which premiered on July 15, 2025.

Clavis EV will continue stirring up interest in the MPV sector, particularly those who have adopted electric vehicles.

Sonet, Seltos, and Syros experience Depreciations

Kia Sonet was the next to decline with the vehicle selling an alarming 32% lower than the previous year to 6,658 cars and 17% below the previous month of 8,054 car sales. The Seltos too did not fare well and declined at 17% YoY and 14% MoM and moved 5,225 units.

The Kia Syros, the new model released in February 2025, went through a high drop of 79 percent MoM, i.e. only 774 vehicles at the end of June compared to 3,611 in May.

According to insiders, this may be explained by the fact that Kia has moved the production capacities to increase the supply of Clavis EV.

Quiet Quarter of EVs and Flagship Models

Though Kia Carnival was trending at 6.82% MoM with 47 units sold, its flagship EVs such as EV6 and EV9, did not make any sales in June.

The EV9 does not currently have deliveries, and the EV6 still has some problems with demand and supply.

Quarterly Review: Q1 2025 Development through New Launches

Despite the monthly slips in June, Kia recorded nine percent growth on YoY basis in Q2 CY25, where it sold 66,563 vehicles compared to 60,768 sales during the same period last year (Q2 CY24). This was in great part thanks to the 12 percent growth of Carens and the early start advantages of Syros. A small addition of 252 units was added to the Carnival.

As the old models face the pressure, the switch to electrics and new models by Kia can maintain the momentum in the upcoming months.
