2024 Tata Punch Gets Variants and Features Rejig, New Prices Start From Rs 6.13 Lakh

Tata Motors has unveiled the 2024 Tata Punch in India, with prices starting at Rs. 6.13 lakh and going up to Rs. 9.90 lakh (ex-showroom, pan-India). The updated model introduces a host of changes, including new variants, revised prices, and additional features.

Updated Pricing and Variant Changes

The 2024 Tata Punch’s pricing structure has been adjusted, with some old variants being discontinued and new ones introduced. Here's a breakdown of the revised pricing and variant details:

Petrol Variants with 5-Speed Manual Transmission:

  • Pure: Previously priced at Rs 6 lakh, now Rs 6.13 lakh (+Rs 13,000).

  • Pure Rhythm: Discontinued.

  • Pure(O): New variant at Rs 6.70 lakh.

  • Adventure: Maintained at Rs 7 lakh.

  • Adventure Rhythm: Kept at Rs 7.35 lakh.

  • Adventure S: New variant at Rs 7.60 lakh.

  • Adventure Plus S: New variant at Rs 8.10 lakh.

  • Accomplished: Discontinued.

  • Accomplished Plus: Increased to Rs 8.30 lakh from Rs 8.25 lakh (+Rs 5,000).

  • Accomplished S: Discontinued.

  • Accomplished Plus S: Increased to Rs 8.80 lakh from Rs 8.75 lakh (+Rs 5,000).

  • Creative Plus: Increased to Rs 9 lakh from Rs 8.85 lakh (+Rs 15,000).

  • Creative Plus S: Increased to Rs 9.45 lakh from Rs 9.30 lakh (+Rs 15,000).

  • Creative Flagship: Discontinued.

Petrol Variants with 5-Speed AMT:

  • Adventure: Kept at Rs 7.60 lakh.

  • Adventure Rhythm: Kept at Rs 7.95 lakh.

  • Adventure S: New variant at Rs 8.20 lakh.

  • Adventure Plus S: New variant at Rs 8.70 lakh.

  • Accomplished: Discontinued.

  • Accomplished Plus: Increased to Rs 8.90 lakh from Rs 8.85 lakh (+Rs 5,000).

  • Accomplished S: Discontinued.

  • Accomplished Plus S: Increased to Rs 9.40 lakh from Rs 9.35 lakh (+Rs 5,000).

  • Creative Plus: Increased to Rs 9.60 lakh from Rs 9.45 lakh (+Rs 15,000).

  • Creative Plus S: Increased to Rs 10 lakh from Rs 9.90 lakh (+Rs 10,000).

  • Creative Flagship: Discontinued.

Petrol+CNG Variants with 5-Speed Manual Transmission:

  • Pure: Maintained at Rs 7.23 lakh.

  • Adventure: Kept at Rs 7.95 lakh.

  • Adventure Rhythm: Maintained at Rs 8.30 lakh.

  • Adventure S: New variant at Rs 8.55 lakh.

  • Adventure Plus S: New variant at Rs 9.05 lakh.

  • Accomplished: Discontinued.

  • Accomplished Plus: New variant at Rs 9.40 lakh.

  • Accomplished Plus S: Increased to Rs 9.90 lakh from Rs 9.85 lakh (+Rs 5,000).

Key Updates in the 2024 Tata Punch

The 2024 Tata Punch brings several updates and new features:

  • Larger Touchscreen: A 10.25-inch touchscreen replaces the previous 7-inch unit.

  • Enhanced Charging: Includes a wireless phone charger and Type-C fast charger.

  • Rear AC Vents: Added for improved comfort.

  • New Front Centre Armrest: Provides additional convenience.

  • Interior Design Changes: Silver trim replaces the previous body-colored trim around AC vents. The fabric upholstery remains but with a refreshed design.

  • Exterior Color Updates: Atomic Orange and dual-tone Earthly Bronze colors are discontinued. Calypso Red now comes in a single-tone option with a body-colored roof.

Revised Variant Lineup

The new model introduces mid-spec variants such as Pure(O), Adventure S, and Adventure Plus S. Discontinued variants include Pure Rhythm, Accomplished, Accomplished S, and Creative Flagship.

Features and Safety

The 2024 Tata Punch continues to offer a comprehensive feature set:

  • Interior Features: Includes a 7-inch semi-digital instrument cluster, automatic air conditioning, cruise control, automatic headlamps, rain-sensing wipers, connected car technology, and a push-button start/stop.

  • Safety Features: Equipped with dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, and a rear parking camera. It received a 5-star safety rating from Global NCAP in 2021.

The exterior design remains consistent, with halogen projector headlights, fog lamps, LED DRLs, chunky door cladding, 17-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, halogen tail lights, and a rear wiper.

Powertrain Options

The Tata Punch is powered by a 1.2-litre petrol engine producing 86 PS and 113 Nm of torque. It is available with a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT. A CNG version is also offered with a 5-speed manual transmission.

Competitors

The 2024 Tata Punch competes with vehicles such as the Hyundai Exter, Citroen C3, Maruti Ignis, Nissan Magnite, and Renault Kiger, positioning itself as a versatile and updated option in the compact SUV segment.
