Mercedes Benz Eqs Suv Launched In India At Rs 1 Crore 41 Lakh

Mercedes-Benz EQS SUV Launched in India at Rs. 1.41 Crore

Mercedes-Benz has introduced its latest luxury electric SUV, the EQS SUV, in India with prices starting at Rs. 1.41 crore (ex-showroom). This launch follows the introduction of the ultra-luxurious Maybach EQS SUV earlier this month, further expanding the brand’s EV portfolio in the country.

Powertrain & Range

The new Mercedes-Benz EQS SUV is equipped with a powerful 122kWh battery pack paired with dual electric motors. Together, they produce a massive output of 536bhp and 858 Nm of torque, making the EQS SUV one of the most powerful electric vehicles in its segment.

One of the most impressive aspects of the EQS SUV is its ARAI-certified range of 809km on a single full charge. This exceptional range offers a practical solution for long-distance travel in an electric SUV, minimizing range anxiety for its drivers.

Charging the EQS SUV is also convenient. With a 200kW fast charger, the vehicle can be charged from 10% to 80% in just 31 minutes, ensuring a quick turnaround for long journeys.

Exterior Design

The Mercedes-Benz EQS SUV boasts a sleek and modern exterior design that blends futuristic elements with the brand’s signature luxury styling. Key exterior highlights include:

  • LED headlamps with integrated LED light bars at the front and rear.

  • Flush-fitting door handles for a seamless look.

  • A blanked-off grille that adds to the car’s aerodynamic efficiency.

  • Dual-tone wheels for a premium, sporty appearance.

  • EQS badging on the front quarter glass, marking it as part of Mercedes’ elite electric vehicle range.

  • LED tail lights at the rear that contribute to the sophisticated styling.

These features give the EQS SUV a cutting-edge, tech-focused aesthetic while maintaining the elegance expected from Mercedes-Benz.

Interior & Features

Stepping inside, the Mercedes-Benz EQS SUV offers a luxurious and high-tech cabin. Some of the key interior highlights include:

  • The optional MBUX Hyperscreen, which spans the dashboard with a massive glass panel housing three individual screens. This offers passengers a highly immersive digital experience.

  • A freestanding 12.3-inch driver’s display, which provides critical driving information in a sleek and modern interface.

  • A large 17.7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, placing entertainment, navigation, and car settings at your fingertips.

  • A three-spoke steering wheel with a premium, tactile feel.

  • Ventilated and electrically adjustable front seats, ensuring both comfort and functionality.

  • Soft-close doors, adding a touch of convenience and luxury.

  • Level 2 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), enhancing safety with features such as adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assistance, automatic emergency braking, and more.

The interior design follows a dual-tone theme, combining materials such as leather and high-quality trims that elevate the luxury factor.

Competitors and Market Positioning

With its combination of advanced electric technology, premium luxury features, and an impressive driving range, the Mercedes-Benz EQS SUV is set to compete with other high-end electric SUVs like the Audi e-Tron, BMW iX, and Jaguar I-Pace in the Indian market.

While priced at Rs. 1.41 crore, the Mercedes-Benz EQS SUV offers cutting-edge technology and a comprehensive set of features that make it a formidable option in the luxury electric SUV segment. The introduction of the EQS SUV underscores Mercedes-Benz’s commitment to bringing high-performance, sustainable luxury vehicles to the Indian market, positioning it as a leader in the EV transition.

For Indian buyers seeking an electric vehicle that combines range, performance, and the latest in automotive luxury, the Mercedes-Benz EQS SUV presents a highly attractive option.
